First time poster.
I've just got an M8 box and have a few problems with it. The main one is that the BBC iPlayer will stream (but with buffering issues due to slow connection) but won't play downloaded material. It tries to start playing then after a few seconds of a grey screen and spinning circle it just throws me back to the programme description. Has anyone else had this problem and is changing to Finless 1.8 likely to help? The iPlayer and media player are both up to date.
The other thing is that I can't boot into recovery. If I try the method where you hold down the reset switch in the audio jack, after the initial logo disappears the word "rebooting" flashes in the bottom left of the screen and it restarts as normal. Am i letting go of the reset at the wrong time?
I've rooted and flashed firmware on a few phones so am comfortable with the process but wondered if it would actually help.
Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.
