Therefore, in this forum that I finally found a hint to share your experiences with unbrick my M8S. I`ve bought it at Aliexpress and from start did not work well so I decided to upload the new FW. Unfortunately, he did a brick. LED lights up only in red. I didn`t know what inside my M8S because there were any mark on the motherboard. Only the "M8 & M9_V_02 2015/05/21". I searched for other FW but nothing worked. I checked a dozen. But ... finally I succeeded
First step:
by USB_burning_tool (without power, just USB - though it probably does not matter, USB port close HDMI)
I have loaded:
cyx_m8s_v8.6_ap6330_8g2g_kodi_addons_ota_150908_US B.img
ok
LED lights up in blue but M8S stops at the first screen (Logo M8S Mali 450, etc.).
Second step:
by SD (even without Boot Card Maker only format to fat32)
I have loaded:
mat n200c (n200C-ota-20151110.zip).
after a few seconds, Android Men started and M8S woke upJ))
It`s not perfect because:
1. does not read large drives (1TB), but less works ok - so it was like M8S was new
2. does not work "optical connect" - so it was like M8S was new
3. “video” does not work in the AV connect - so it was like M8S was new
4. Kodi was 15.2 but not worked, I`ve loaded again and is ok
5. BT and wi-fi did not work but LAN is ok
5. The remote control works strange, because it has changed the volume buttons with home and info buttons and works slow.
The rest of the function works very well, so I think M8S came back to life and I can normally use that.
This is what does not work is not needed for me.
But if anyone knows what to do to make everything work I would appreciate.
