300Mb/s USB WIFI DONGLE RTL8192SU WORKING Solution

I have a great and easy solution for rtl8192su work great at 300mbps for me with finless 1.7

Download the driver:
rtl8711.zip

With help of root browser available on play store for free
Go to /system/lib/modules/ renaname the rkwifi.ko to rkwifi.ko.old (to keep a backup)
put 8187.ko into /system/lib/modules/ and rename it to rkwifi.ko
set permission of our new rkwifi.ko to 644 rw-r--r--


Reboot and now now you could see a lot more neighbor APs..... it work i promise

(to reinstall built-in mk808b wifi, delete the rkwifi.ko and rename the backup (rkwifi.ko.old) to rkwifi.ko and reboot)

ftp transfer stable and UNCUT. I can now move more than 12 movies 'torrented' and more at stable 4,79 MB/s to my pc from mk808b 32go usb pen drive.

I compiled a driver 8712u.ko, thats works very well in 8191su, 8192su and 8188su, but it uses wext extensions, so a change in boot.img is necesary. Your driver works with the default boot.img? Have you the sources to compile it?

i take the driver rtl8187.zip here http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechfo...t=231&start=20 with luck it work
but you should read the thead from the start.

it would be great to have find the path to compile those wlan driver.

And what about rtl8187l (the famous alfa awus36h) and the ralink rt2870 ? take your time of course.

by the way maxters bring good other tool like airmon and droiddump some surely know what this mean..

Yes, with the one compiled by me BT works too, but the bad thing is to have to edit boot.img, so if this driver works without modify boot.img is a better option
I will read it and search fot those sourced when I arrive home.

Not to be a party pooper. I mean it's nice that it works this way, but you are aware that even 5MByte/sec is still just 40Mbit/sec. WIFI has a very large amount of overhead, but still i was expecting a little more when reading 300Mb/s in the topic.

Which is your stick? And your Rom? It need wext, some tvsticks has it enabled by default and some need to tune boot.img

i have the MK808 (non BT) Finless 1.7c using 2dark4u kernel

right now i'm trying it the way it was said earlier.. if it works i'll let you know =)

was a no go, it was for an older wifi adapter that i was using. which i still have.

I tried renaming the file to rkwifi.ko and putting it in /system/lib/modules

rebooted but it didn't show any wifi aps or anything.

Keep in mind that wifi 300Mbp/s is the speed that the antenna (client) communicate whit the router (ap) not real data transfer speed.

example, if it pass through a usb hub, the speed cannot be more the speed of that usb hub and it depend of speed of the device read and write speed (sata hdd, ide hdd,pendrive,and ... ) look at there to have good idea of USB Flash Drive Speed :

in conclusion:

we don't have expect more than the real data rate 60mb/s limited by the 2.0 usb specification and if transfer is made via usb ethernet adapter to a device who could achieve 60mb/s real data rate like sata 2 and 3 or solid state drive.

unless someone find a way to solder wires from mk board to the pc motherboard it will be possible to reach more than 60mb/s but would be an impossible project of course....

I have a 3.0.36 kernel installed so I cant try the driver of the OP. Tomorrow, when I arrive home I will try again to compile the realtek drivers.

something close to 100Mbit/s would be imposible for now due to usb 2.0 specification max real data rate transfer of 60mb/s.
will have to wait for a rockchip board with usb 3.0 first and for the new adopted gigabyte wireless standard promising blazing speeds over short distances was recently adopted by the IEEE. Known as 802.11ad. The ratified standard will deliver 7Gbps speeds over 60GHz frequencies and should appear in consumer electronics as soon as next year. Real data transfer rate would be 4Gbps.But pendrive doesn't support this speed, new ssd drive should be more effective and The hopes of the new technology will be that it'll provide an insanely fast, direct link between devices. The reason behind this is because of the 60GHz frequency it finds itself surfing along. As higher radio frequencies are used, they aren't so good at penetrating solid objects like walls, fridges, desks and more. High frequencies are really only good at shorter ranges, so WiGig will have its place in the market, but not where you'd like it to be.

anyway we never bypass the usb 2.0 real data rate of 60mb/s on all present released tv sticks on market until they have usb 3.0 on the board.Nor bypass the read/write speed of the device (usb hub,pendrive,hard drive,...)
