Cube U30GT 2: Poor WIFI. How to fix it?

    Hi,
My Cube U30GT 2 has very poor WIFI signal. I tried all FW and roms (from Android 4.1.1 to last 4.2.2).
On all roms was very poor WIFI signal.

My router is alright. Other davice works prefect.

So, Is it a software problem Or is it a hardware problem?

    Thank You.

I haven't had any wifi issues with mine. I tried 6 or 7 different FW and the wifi signal was always stable and strong, so i think it's a hardware problem.

I exchanged the antenna myself....tyco antenna mod

reception got better but It´s not the reinvention of the wheel.
The ones who know how to solder on an average level will do this mod without any problems.
If you seek a place for the new antenna...GO AWAY FROM THE ACCU
It really kills the reception OBVIOUSLY.

Next mod will be....I´ve got the accu of the dead U30GT(1).
I think there is a way to add that accu-power to the existing

I don't have any wifi issues - but I read this on another forum:

"The second (and most important) issue is the metal strip around the case. It totally blocks WiFi signal horizontally. I have tested the WiFi reception without this metal strip and the signal was good. If I put it back, I've lost the signal immediately. So if you want the best WiFi signal, remove that metal strip."

Removing the metal strip seems a less drastic (and free) approach than soldering a new antenna. You might want to try that first.
