Openelec m8 v8_1 20151416 correct firmware?

Hi,

I have been trying to find the correct openelec firmware for my m8s v8_1 20150418? I have tried a two firmwares the one for m8s and the other for s812 both bricked my box which luckily I was able to recover.

I would appreciate it if someone can point me to firmware that will work with my box as I find the preloaded firmware buggy and kodi doesn't run great on it.

Is this the only version of openelec that works on our my box? I tried a newer version of the m8s and it bricked my box

Also have you now flashed openelec? If so what's your thoughts on it vs the android system? Some movies I get slight stuttering and have tried all the suggestion such as disable codec etc but nothing has worked,

Openelec give you a mediacenter only box. No apps. It's a choice...
