Prometheus Finless ROM 1.2

Is your Rom compatible with Prometheus boxes that can install the Android V4.2.1-Beta (that includes the "g02ref-ota-20130308.zip" file), but will not install the Android V4.2.2-REL (“g18ref-ota-20130513.zip”) that your Rom is based upon?

My mainboard is marked: VISSION_MBX_BASE_BOARD_V01, 2012-11-19
And CPU Board: MBX_CPU_BOARD_V01, 20121010

i just saw this post, and confirm with tronsmart, there is no different board for their promethues. you can just go ahead, and flash this rom.

That was the point!
The uppgrade would not install with reset button method, and when trying the uppgrade application it talked about assert() error and "g18ref". As the older packages had a file named g02ref and the new one a file called g18ref it seemed relevant.

It seems that a new release is made (with a g18ref zip file) that is promised to work on all prometheus as there is only one hardware version Well see when I tries it!

The upgrade installed fine on my older Prometheus and the sound problems seems to be fixed

Hi, just registered to ask if this would work for other AMLogic 8726-M6 based systems? specifically looking to see if it can be installed on the ATV520 (geniatech) which seems to have the same specs. Been looking and I can't seem to find any other roms for this chip. I just bought it locally (no other models available).

and if not, are there any plans for other 8726-M6 tv box ROMs in the works?

I'm hoping for good news, I really need/want init.d support working so I can install a virtual touchscreen to use for gaming. so far I'm lost as to how to do so without a custom ROM

tronsmart has released a new rom update and a new version of xbmc
it is the most stable release of xbmc i have ever tested.
i think that Tronsmart has splited some SO library files from the xbmcapp-visson-20130522.apk
and some are embedded into the kernel, and some are inside the APK, Kernel version 3.0.50

the only downside is that it is not compatible with de finless 1.2 rom.
my hopes are now on a finless 1.3 rom

the fast finless rom end the Shenzhen Vision xbmc app, would make tronsmart prometheus a super mediaplayer.

I hope you could make it to the other forum is dead. I have a Prometheus Tronsmart I just bought a Geekbuyingon. I wanted to upgrade but nothing happened. Now when I turn on the blue LED light and no picture I can not blink. One brick. (Tried a lot of methods but not at the beginning nor the flashing blue LED that can help anyone if you are trying Thank you..

If you can not detect the sd Card well the blue LED not flashing?

took the main board out, to get an easy access to the SD card
then i hold the SDcard slot to make real good contact
I kept holding the sd card in fully, and then released the reset button after the 3rd blink
it appears they had an issue with the SDcard holder! Tronsmart got a BAD load of China sdcard holders
many people; reported issues with mounting the SDcard.

I posted something earlier in frustration. This device has been a love/hate situation. Although I still think Tronsmart needs to not release equipment that isn't finished to be released to the public. That missing heat sink is a BIG deal since it causes overheating and lockups. g02ref should have NEVER been released to the public since it wasn't really consumer ready. I still think whoever does the product testing and is responsible for the product release be handed a pink slip. With that aside, Finless your rom does not work on g02ref boards correct? If not, will you release a version for us unfortunate g02ref users? Thanks.

Thank you Bob for this ROM! I thought I was going to have to junk this TV box but thanks to your hard work I now have a fully functioning media box that I can now enjoy! I have sent you a donation and I will send more later, you are invaluable to the Android TV stick/tablet community!

I pre-ordered this TV box before it was available so I received the first version of this box without the heatsink. I put a heatsink on it before I even turned it on. This ROM flashed fine on my first gen hardware, the only problem I had flashing was that I did not wait long enough after the three light flashes to release the reset button. After trying it again and waiting a little longer before releasing the reset button it flashed with no problems!

I bought an amlogic 8726-M6 board g02ref and I am stuck on 4.2.1 version.

I tried flushing this rom because someone said it would work because g02 and g18 are the same
but it did not (prop check g18ref, also my device is NOT Promethious, its just the same board)

Is there a solution for the g02 board issue? Can you help?
