Thanks! I saw this thread just didn't want to blindly try the twrp images. Will try this later. Will I be able to flash this so it boots to twrp instead of stock recovery?

@Android_User5000: I haven't tried it myself. I have only reinstalled the firmware on my box 2 or 3 times after I messed it up after installing an app to hide root which damaged something. Otherwise I haven't had any problems with the machine failing to boot etc.

Did you purchase your MXIII-G from Gearbest or is that the **** version you posted above?

http://www.dealsmachine.com/best_254452.html I bought my MXIII-G from Deals Machine a couple weeks ago. The 2G version is going for $50 at the moment. I've attached a picture of the board. So glad it's not a clone!

Hi mate, are you having another issues with constant buffering in kodi?

@Steve-o: Does that include free shipping? Otherwise that looks like a really good price for an original machine.

Can't remember if DM had a free shipping option for the device. I chose the expedited shipping option as I wanted it asap

I bought it off someone used on **** as I wanted to make sure it didn't have anything wrong with it. Works great. Could use another gb of ram but for $70 it works like a champ. I haven't been able to get twrp recovery on it yet though. Another thing is 8 gb of memory is definitely not enough for the average user if they plan on installing anything more than just kodi on it because the os itself takes space so after that you only have about 4.4 gb left so I set up Link2sd

Hello, I don't notice constant kodi buffering. I do know there is a fix for it as I remember reading a guide to fix constant buffering in kodi somewhere on the Web. I think the buffering has a lot to do with your network speed and also the source. I have it hooked up by ethernet whenever I am streaming and it is very smooth

Are you referring to the fix where you edit a few .xml files? If so, tried that already. The stuff that I'm having issues with works perfectly on kodi on my linux mint pc. Phoenix is the only add on where everything runs smooth. Long story short, I'm trying to eliminate all possibilities before I put different firmware on. Firstly because I've never done it and 2) because I've only got a Linux mint machine which is bound to complicate matters.

Yes that is what I'm referring to. I don't have any problems with kodi. Well hope you get it sorted out. Try factory resetting. Are you running lollipop or kit kat?For some reason bench mark scores in antutu are 5-6 thousand points higher in kit kat. Right now I'm working on finding a twrp for my mxiii-g that works with no problems. Do your research before you flash anything or else you might end up with a Brick.

Cheers for the info. I've been thinking about going to kitkat. I'm on 5.1.1 at the moment. I'm a simple guy, I'm just after stability! Good luck with twrp search.

I had no problem with the back up of my stock lollipop on the TWRP_2.8.7.0_K200 I flashed but it wouldn't restore the backup I made..then I flashed xposed framework and it wouldn't load the os so then I had to flash firmware again so I now am running kit kat as I want to see if it is smoother/more stable. I usually have about 150-200 apps (maybe a little less) on my android setup when I'm satisfied. Don't try flashing xposed framework whatever you do..and thanks man
