Help with ne t8 box

Hi

Got a new t8 box with the following spec

Zenoplige T8 PRO N 4K
Android 4.4
2GB RAM
8GB ROM
AML8726-S812 Cortex-A9 CPU
Mali-450 Octa-Core GPU
Dual Wifi Channel

Is it possible to update it to lollipop also it has an auto update which is useless as it dosnt do anything so can I do it manualy via sd card. Ive flashed devices before but only phones using android which was smiple enough using roms and firmware but I cant find anything on my spec of box also tried the seller but no luck there.

I don't mind adding a custom rom if it helps to improve the box I currently have it loaded with kodi isengrad which is its main use. Ive added a screenshot to of the firmware ect and its not rooted either.

Hello,

Your Description on the CPU is a little bit crude ;-) It is S812 not AML8726-S812 for your Info.
What you can try to Flash is the Image for the Probox2 EX+ Firmware.
You can not brick your Device with it.
Only thing is that maybe Wifi not will Work.
But try and you have Android Lollipop.

Hi how do I check the correct cpu?. managed to unbrick the box today and get it booting by using the mega-tron rom and fired up fine just very old version so trying the probox rom now

you can either open up the box and see the chipset number or use hardware info apk etc or you can look in kodi and see if there is 4 cores or 2cores under system info

Hi opend it up says S812-V13 2015-10-14 on the main board.

and then you will have ota updates hopefully the rom is from droidbox but is the same box.
