    4.2.2 not working on some TVs

    I think the reason we are seeing some TV not work with 4.2.2 is again DRM (Digital Rights Management).
    Same reason Netflix wont work! But in this case I believe it is looking at EDID and the device your connected to. If it does not support DRM, it wont give output.

    I am almost certain this is why!

    So folks... this may never get fixed for old TVs as I doubt they will remove compliance with DRM!

    I agree - I have Time Warner cable internet and they have an app for watching your cable tv. When you install ity and try to watch it says it does not support HDMI output.

        I did read somewhere that a user that could not get theirs to work on their TV then ran it through a cheap HDMI auto switch and it apparently worked.

        I can't see where the logic is but worth a try if you have a switch.

          Agreed. Newer HDMI switches probably support DRM and thus respond to the device in a way it is looking for.

          This is probably a cheap fix for older TVs.

            I also have no switch
            but I appreciate the thinking for a solution thanx man

            Edit: I bough a hdmi Switser and flash 4.2.2 and nothing stil no image

            so back to 4.1.1/Finless 1.7
