Hi everybody,
my old K-R42 left me few days ago (R.I.P.) so I bought a T-R42 as an replacement.
I thought it would be almost identical, but I have some issues I was unable to solve yet, so I wanted to ask for help.
1) MX Player (1.7) have problems playing video files using HW+ acceleration.
There are green lines in the upper or lower part of screen and stuttering. I was also unable to skip forward, because the movie skip to the end and stop playing.
I tried Custom Codec v1.7.32rev1, but it did not help.
HW acceleration works good, but fast forward or rewind has some slight lag comparing to my old K-R42.
2) In Kodi (Isengard 15.2), there is only sound with no picture (however, subtitles are shown correctly) using HW acceleration.
When HW acceleration is turned off, playback is fine.
3) Total Commander does not see any USB drive, until I installed USB plugin for Total Commander. But then USB drives are not seen neither by MX player of by Kodi.
I wonder whether those problems might be related to change from Android 4.2.2. (K-R42) to 4.4.2. (T-R42) since my old K-R42 had neither of those issues.
Or might be that my T-R42 is broken and I should claim a replacement?
My questions:
a) Is there any performance differences in using HW+ and HW mode in MX Player? And if so, how to make HW+ work?
b) How to make HW acceleration work in Kodi?
c) Why are USB drives invisible for TC without a plugin? And how to make them work both in TC and MXP and Kodi?
