Have manage to remap missing button on my rc12. To do the work without messing up with the generic.kl what you never have to do to avoid some problem. i built my own Vendor_0c45_Product_7403.kl file instead. built a .kl file for a specific vendor id/pid keyboard take advantage to remap key withoout touching the generic.kl who could be needed when other device could use this generic.kl file.

it is recognize instantly when those measy keyboard are connect to usb.
most of f1 to f12 was useless before.

non-working button who now works great:

F2 (internet explorer icon) = Browser
F3 = search
F4 = home (return to home whenever a app is open)
F5 (envelope icon) = mail (open email really fast )
F6 (music icon) = rk music player
most important to me to work are below and test to work with all media player of your choice:
F7 MEDIA_PREVIOUS or skip back not the rewind. to rewind dpad left
F8 MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE
F9 MEDIA_NEXT = skip to next file. To fastforward dpad right
F10 MUTE now it work
F11 vol- now it work
F12 vol+ now it work

but also work with rc11 cuz it is same #key and same usb pid/vid

All good now but...
using now f11 for it real purpose (vol-) this way i lose the f11 function i have before to hide or restore the finless status bar (system bar) who is pretty incompatible while playing a youtube video from the youtube app .

just this old f11 function (show and hide bar) to remap to f1 but what the name of this function ?

The only thing before to share this file with forum user is to know how to pop up this bar from f1

any help?

temporary file before i fix the systembar problem and update the thread: (all other key work great)

put this Vendor_0c45_Product_7403.kl file to: /system/usr/keylayout/
Reboot the droid

humm someone could send me the original Generic.kl from any finless rom ? don't want to reflash my mk just for this...
NEVER touch this...
i baddly do what i doesn't recommand but for a just cause

Find it ok - not great - have to point at the screen all the time and can drift when pressing left mouse button so you have to 'keep up' with the drift. The RC12 with its touchpad must overcome this sort of thing so be easier to use.

The function keys only part work - hopefully this file will sort this. The keyboard repeat is set so that you cannot type a sentence without eeeeeeeee or xxxxxx etc.. appearing, and the rubber keys frequently stick down. That means your nervous when entering data into a form etc... for the inevitable repeat key mess and correction hassle.

The build quality is not great in that sense. However, it kind of does the job.

Just map key 59 as F11. This will make F1 function just as F11 did before.

I just switched F1 with F11 in Generic.kl now.

Does anyone know how to map CTRL + ALT + DEL? I want it on the power key of my RC12 to turn it on via remote, only turning screen off is not very cool.
