Firmware update from http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...e-20160201/.PC version OK,SD Card useless.Box is good for 40 bucks.Video is good,comes with Kodi Jarvis 16.0 RC1 with goodies-add-ons,MX Player,rooted,USB stick and NTFS external HD working,supports Tronsmart gamepad,remote is OK,audio is good.Heat is dissipating from underneath.Biggest flaw of these boxes is no custom recovery,I need xposed and obb on SD for GTA SA.Comes with bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet,but my router-some 10 bucks rebranded chinese-doesn't know 1000M.I-ll try to open box,but I don't know how to upload images.

Can anyone tell me if the 3.5mm SPDIF output connector on this box is coax or optical? no info anywhere for this box, but I can see on some other boxes it can be coax but on, say, laptops it can be optical...thanks

New firrmware available through OTA-103L1.So OTA is working and MXQs have support after all.

New firmware for Quick Play from Measy B4TS courtesy of 4pda.Link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7o...N4NGs/view.You must copy system/etc/remote.conf from original firmware and replace it after flashing firmware with Amlogic USB burning tool and male to male USB cable.Wifi and ethernet works very good remote works.It is quicker than original firmware.Some 30 Mb more.

I'm thrilled with the capabilities of this wee box. I've an occasional problem, when it just drops out off Kodi (Jarvis 1), and returns to main menu. I can live with it though, 'cos it happens so infrequently. I wonder whether a 2GB/16GB box would fix this..?
I do have a help-request though; ought it to be possible to stream audio via bluetooth from my phones / tablets to the MXQ Pro? If so, then how? (No problem if playing the MXQ audio via bluetooth to my headsets / speakers, but not at all sure that the reverse is even supported.)

Hi I have an OTT MXQ Pro 4k, it isn't agreeing with those specs no bluetooth and ethernet I think is 10/100. I am curious as to which firmware may work with the box and if there is any hope of improving usb support for bluetooth audio input webcam. Has anyone tried compiling kernel modules for this device?

I just had a pleasant surprise I had just found a 4 pole 3.5 jack so was going to test to see if it worked with video and stereo sound anyway while it wasnt hooked up to the monitor I heard audio coming from my usb sata dock! it has built in usb audio a cmedia device i think.

So far just used it for audio out ...

ok I downloaded skype and used skype call testing service and it recorded my voice!
so then i called a friend and talked to them on skype!
I was using a web cam as mic so i decided to try the webcam and it worked but i lost the audio from the mic

so for a device with no webcam and no audio input

everything is as it came no mods to the firmware.

ok i tried a camera app this brought up the webcam but recorded a green image but there is a camera icon on the bottom bar and this took a screen shot with my face on it.
