    How to hide the status bar?

    How do I hide the status bar as it is on top of most of the apps, if I press the down arrows it gets rid of the nav bar but nothing else.

    I've tried a few apps in the play store but the ones that actually hide the status bar stop the remote control from working as well.

    If rooted, did you add this line to build.prop?

    qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

    It may disable the status bar, certainly the nav bar.

      Thanks, the nav bar wasn't the problem that is hidden by default but the build.prop tweak didn't get rid of the status bar.

              I ask for the opposite.

              How can I make visible the information bar (up) and the navbar (bottom)?

              budgetgeek With this change in build.prob, will be enough for both?

                Read what I said, pressing that only hides the nav bar.
