Is Kingroot Now Removed From My Phone?

I got a new LG Sunset smartphone at Walmart during the Black Friday sales. Dumb me last nite decided to root the thing cuz I wanted to remove the startup sounds it makes when you turn it on and off and O wanted to change the bootup logo with the target on it to a prettier one. I wanted to edit it to be the logo with just the text and no target pictured on it. I was using 2 apps that I had downloaded from the Play store to shut off the startup sounds it makes when you turn it on and off .Can't have those sounds going off as at some events that would be disruptive. Thought I'd try Kingroot since it looked so easy from reading about it online. So I downloaded Kingroot off the internet and sent it to my phone via usb cable.

I've rooted a tablet before so I thought this should work. Think it was a Polaroid. I downloaded Kingroot and thought I had it working. But I could not find the boot image to change it nor the start up sounds to delete or change the name of them so they won't play anymore when the phone starts up or shuts off. The MacAfee antivirus that came free on the phone locked the dumb phone up and wouldn't let me in without a pin and wouldn't take my pin. I had to call MacAfee to reset it. Got it reset to a new one. I discovered the problem seemed to be that MacAfee was set in a mode where it tries to block rooting and access to the phone hooking to a computer via usb cable and while in that mode you have to punch in your pin#. Once I got my new pin# I was able to turn that feature off and phone is hopefully okay. I tried to uninstall Kingroot and it's programs. Kingroot is no longer listed among the apps but a coupla file folders pertaining to it as still showing in my 2 file explorers I have on there.

Am I right in thinking Kingroot was uninstalled and it just left behind these 2 folders? Or is Kingroot still on the phone and not showing in the list of apps on the phone? If Kingroot is still on there, how would I get rid of it? I don't want to end up bricking my phone. I think I better keep running the 2 apps that shut up the startup and shutdown sounds. Having them eat up juice is better than a bricked phone.

Now I'm getting another problem which is probably unrelated to this one. I plugged the usb cord into a windows computer and now the phones drive won't show up. That's bad too cuz I need to copy pics from the phone to an external hard drive to back them up.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Looks like Kingroot is still there. I can now see the files of the sounds I want to delete and the boot images I want to change. But I can only see them on the phone and not on the computer via usb. I got the usb problem fix but still cannot see the files on the computer, only the phone. So am now trying to figure out how to get that fixed.

I tried renaming the sound files and it gives me an error message saying they can't be renamed. Yuck! Still can't get the images I want to change to come up on the computer. They are under /device and that won't show up on the computer. It's like the device is rooted but you can't do anything with it root wise. Sigh.
