Remote control issues

Hello, I meant to add that I have the S95 Meta. I am only 5'-6' away from the S95, but the remote works well for me.
A digital camera can see IR and thru its display, you can see IR. Aim the remote at your camera(not too close, 1-2 feet), every button press should result in you seeing light from the remote in the camera's display. If not, check to make sure batteries are getting good connection to the remote's contacts. I had a different box's remote with this problem, it was an easy fix.

I have the Telos and the remote control is terrible, the range is only 3 feet.

I have a Harmony Ultimate On with themUltimate Hub. This model is probably too new so it is not in the Harmony device database. I tried both MX3 and Vega S89 and the remote would not work. I even used the Hamrony app (MyHarmony) to "learn" the commands and they did not work as well. This is very frustrating and I have spent many hours on this.

Harmony support asked me for the IR code. I asked Tronsmart support a few days ago and no reply yet. M

I am about 5 feet away directly in front of it and it works but any further back or from the side it does not work.... I seen in one review that the remote is directional..I would say very much so... I am now using a wireless keyboard with a finger pad works great..the remote not working well is a let down..so far i am liking the box...finding some video issues with DLNA playback...no sound on some files.... the files play pefectly through kodi.. as expected...best media player ever.. their slogan could be "It Just Works" .

I actually did not expect much from this remote but a range of 3 feet is ridiculous.

The biggest problem is I could not get the Hamony remote to work with this box. Logitech tried to help but no support from Tronsmart so far. I asked Them for the IR code last week but no response from them.

and please understand, the infrared remote can't be as good as 2.4G wireless air mouse, it will effect by the distance and angle. Before logitech add vega s95 to the data base, i prefer a 2.4Ghz wireless mouse

that remote is useless anyway. I am now using an Airmouse now and everything is fine.
Tronsmart should just remove this pos from the box.

Logitech did add this model to their device database. i added this device in my Harmony remote via MyHarmony app but unfortunately, my Ultimate One/Ultimate Hib still would not work with the box.

I didn't get an airmouse delivered with the box and am looking at the mele f10 or the rii i25 as options. Or is the tronsmarts own air mouse any good?
I've tried to connect my phone (one plus) to the box with the google tv remote app, but the connection just doesn't happen. And the app from tronsmarts homepage isn't any better. What could it be, because I could connect the kore remote app to the vidon xbmc. If i try to control the box in xbmc and go to netflix for example the connection drops.

Also there seems to be a problem with the sata port. The box connects to the hard drive but reboots after 10 or 15 seconds. I had the drive in a popcorn hour player and its filled with material, so formating it is not an option.

The Tronsmart airmouse is good enough. You should also try the app for ur phone "Smart iRemote" (googleplay). I think it works good.

Thanks for the tip. I thought about ordering the rii i25 remote, i like that its a bit larger than the tronsmart airmouse. I actually got the smartremote working, i dld the apk from s805, or something, section. The tronsmarts own remote is ok if i need to scroll though the menus, but if trying to ffw a video the box reboots.
