3 problems with the Tronfy MX IV

Hi,

So i have 3 problems wuth my tronfy mx IV and i've got no clue how to solve them. I did flash to try and resolve them but it didn't :

1) The remote doesn't work anymore (i think it's a remote problem and not a box problem, but it's still annoying).

2) Since the flash, e share app doesn't work anymore (which means i got no remote at all :/ i have to plug in a mouse to use the tronfy mx 4), it says that the maximum number of licenses has been reached.

3) Every time i power on the device i'm asked to choose a launcher, it doesn't matter if i choose "always". (it seems to be related to the latest box update, because i did flash with a previous firmware version and I didn't had the problem until the box updated itself to the latest firmware).

Anyone got a solution for one of these problems ?

Have you tested to see if you can see a purple glow from the IR LED through a cell phone camera after depressing any button? Do the batteries still have enough power and are they making good contact with the springs in the holder?

You might be able to install one of the MXIII-G/MXIII Plus firmwares if you are really stuck as I think the motherboards are very similar apart from the 16GB flash.

If you have the Tronfy MX4 Telos the MXIII-G or the Tronsmart MXIII will work just fine on it

But if you have the Tronfy MX4 (None telos) They will NOT work so please check what device you have before you try.

Lurker I tested several batteries (which work in other IR remote) and it didn't work with the box's remote.

I also tried the thing you suggested with the phone camera. I don't see any purple glow when using the remote.

Since i have the MX4 TELOS i might give a shot at the other firmwares. Do you have any link to them ?

@Magemax: Here are some of the most popular firmwares for the MXIII-G/Tronsmart MXIII Plus which should also work on the MXIV Telos. You will presumably want the SD card versions. 106L1 (Lollipop) and 316k4 (Kitkat) appear to be the most popular.

I know it's been a while but here is an update :
- eshare app now works (it randomly stopped saying that the number of licenses was reached).
- remote is dead, i bought an air mouse which works great.

- I still have the launcher issue though. I'll try the firmwares and keep you updated.

Well didn't managed to do any firmware flash.
Everytime i pressed power + the avv thing at the back it sent me to the recovery mode. I dont get it, because i even triued with the mx4 firmware (i already did this flash few months ago) and it does not work ...

But ... I found how to fix the launcher issue, it was caused by an app in the latest tronfy mx4 update (dangbei assistant). I uninstalled it and now i dont have to choose a launcher every time i boot or go back to home screen.
So finally my bugs are kinda solved (but it seems that i can't flash the firmware anymore !).
