    Updated kernel and MicroSD image for rk3066 ubuntu

    This is a kernel I compiled and am using on an imito mx1. It has also been tested on a ug802. Also I have included the filesystem I´m using which is a somewhat large download but if you want an easy setup, download it and burn it to your MicroSD card. If you are already using an alok+ kernel, you can just download my recovery image and the modules folder - replace your current lib/modules/3.0.8-alok+ with this folder. This setup allows cd/dvd access (with full r/w) and gpu acceleration.

    - my linuxroot filesystem. Burn it to MicroSD. I apologize for the large download. Both passwords are ubuntu.

    - modules folder if already using picuntu-type kernel (alok+)
    If my work benefits you and you want to help out the cause, feel free to

    Thanks, for the good work. I installed this image on a Rikomagic 802IIIs 8gb with wifi and bluethooth. After connecting usb-lan the stick just work, play music and edit libre-office documents.

      If you want, you can use the new 3.0.36 kernel sources, they works very well in picuntu. You can get them from galland github.

        3.0.36

        I wos installing his 3.0.36 on my KM802IIIS with a Asix USB-Lan adapter on a RC3 rootfilesystem.
        Wos having problem gething the Asix working as it wos no new module with, but it wos easyer, it wos bildin the kernel and showingup as /dev/eth3

        How I have geth the HW grafic working but its kinky on monitors dont like my samsung 26" monitor (full HD but 1920*1200) only the ours LS 42".

        Easy to install only new modules and kernel (source or image) and if You have a good RC3 rootfilesystem the HW grafic its working out of the box .

        The kernel you can find on Picuntu releases is 3.0.8-alok+, but a few weeks ago I found a 3.0.36 kernel for RK devices in github, which was...

          Mayhap I'll look into that. Thanks!

          Also I should say that I´ve left this unit running for somewhere around 3 weeks straight with no problems/freeze-ups whatsoever. Not that I shut it down, just rebooted for one reason or another. I however have no doubt that if I left my device on it would stay just as rock solid for months on end. And I am using it as a full desktop computer for as much as I can. Which at this point is about everything... except the windows rockchip flashing tools ; ;

            I appreciate your gratitude. I often wonder if people use anything I post on here for download. I should add that this image also has qemu installed with full video options. I had to compile it to get it to work, tried to install windows xp on it for a specific use, and found it was waaaayyy too slow for that. But regardless it´s in there as well. Thanks again for your kind post!

              Hi, I was trying to burn this to an SD card but the image was unreadable. I used gnome-disks. What do you recommend I use to get the img file to my SD card?

              Thanks!
