Like Ritchie, I also have the random crashes and freezes. IF it crashes it will start up again and hang on the MBOX bootlogo. If it freezes it will have small dot artefacts onscreen. The temperature is around 55 degrees Celsius idle, quite high I guess. I wonder if the small square heatsink is really adequate to cool that chip down.
Anyhow, like OP and Redshift I am looking into flashing this box, but I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of firmwares and clones.
Also, is there a way to prove this box is a clone or real? If I can prove this is a clone I can get a refund from the reseller.
