Any word on the next update? The latest one is ok, the lack of proper bluetooth keyboard is really annoying.

Nice to hear that there's finally some update for the QX1.
It's been awfully quiet around this device, especially compared to cx919 for example.

Just wanted to let y'all know there's more of us patiently waiting for a good (community) ROM.

According to your link the Russian guy isn't all that happy with the update. I'll be waiting a bit longer then... Hope Bob soon surprises us!

I sent a PM to Bob 3 days ago, to see if there was going to be a upcoming Finless for this device, as I also had not seen anything about it since early June. I just wondered if it had been passed to another developer, and I had missed it in a thread. I was assured that he is still working toward getting one finished for the QX1. We'll have one soon enough. We've got a crazy good device here. I was torn between this and the CX-919, and after seeing River's review of the QX1 on Youtube, I decided to jump on the Imito. I'm glad I did. It arrived 2 hours ago, and the only gripe I have so far with it, is some of the programs that I use aren't supported on this device, but I'm sure I can change that with a solution from a thread I saw on Freaktab. Enjoy the device, it's worth the wait for a quality rom...

Bob have some health problems with his back and he can't work in a chair for some time, and I was making a custom, not so good like Bob ones, but at least a little better than stock, but some family problems take me away from home and far of the pc for some time. Bad luck, be patience please.

Oh, I let him know I'm not in a hurry. I only wanted to know if the project was dead, or passed on to another developer. My statement to him was "take his time", lol. I'm enjoying the QX1 as is, anything else is a plus! I've been flashing roms since the G1 smartphone days, (Jesusfreke anyone?) and I know that asking for release dates, is a huge no-no. It's done, when it's done. That being said, hope all goes well for you and Bob!

Tnx for the feedback and update Leolas and Randy!

I completely agree with Randy on the 'it's done when it's done' part. (and the rest of your post for that matter)
It's also way too hot this summer over here to be testing, flashing en calibrating my shiny new QX1, as shameful as it may sound. So take your time guys and Bob best wishes on you back problems!

What you mentioned with device compatibility is a build.prop issue I guess Randy. Won't it be possible to 'simply' copy a good build.prop of a widely accepted device in the play store over to our QX1? (n00b alert so sorry if i don't make sense) You seem to have some experience in flashing you mentioned?

No worries.... this ROM is next on my list. My back (I have a Sciatic nerve issue) is getting better finally! It's been 2 weeks of incredible pain and very little sleep! Thus I just have not had a desire to think hard or work on ROMs. But I think I will have something soon for you folks.

I think I'll be using Rom Toolbox Pro to edit the build.prop, I've done it before, it's just been a long time. I used it to disable and enable boot sounds, and camera shutter sounds. Now to Bob, thanks for the note! I have back spasms from time to time, and they take me down for days, but I know that's nothing, compared to what you going through. Take care of that back, above all else!

Really great to hear you're doing better now Bob! It's never nice to hear someone's suffering great pain or other illness! Keep it up!
And thanks randy! I'll give it a try tomorrow!
