Hi, we have been testing with some users who reported freezing problems (usually when they use Kodi). If it is your case, here you have a patch and manual.
In this HOW TO, we are you going to take you through all the steps necessary to upgrade the firmware on the Spot i5 smartbox. It will take you few steps only to do it!
1. Download the patch from our website: SPOT i5 NO FREEZINGS PATCH
2. Move or copy it to any USB pendrive or external storage.
3. Connect this external storage directly to your smartbox USB mini port to find the compressed file on the next steps, then go back here to follow up with this How To! on the second step.
Go to My Apps and select the Icon UPDATE&BACKUP
Third Step
With your mouse or by pressing on the arrows (surrounding the OK button), press one-click/one-time on Wipe Data option under UpdateLocale section
Forth Step
Use the arrows to move onto Select button, and press OK
After pressing OK, the application will scan to locate the firmware in any of your storage devices connected to your Spot i5. It can take few minutes.
It will appear a list of compressed zips available. Choose the one you have downloaded in the step 1 and press OK! (it may be a different name than you can see at this picture)
It will go back to show the main window. Use the arrows again to find Update and pressOK!
Last Step!
Press again to confirm on Update button and that it is! Note that, the process must not be stoped!
Notice that it will reboot. On the initialization it will upgrade all apps from your system. Wait for all Apps to get upgraded to start using again your Spot i5!
