Hello i`m interested into buying a MK808b Plus but as i see there are two different models one with s805 and one with m805, is linux - ubuntu mate working in both models?
and also is Android Rom 5.0.2 Unofficial CyanogenMod 12 working also on both models (S805-M805) Thanks

Talking about cpu and gpu: s805 is the same thing of m805(same performance),anyway are used for different market(tablet or smartv).
S805 can support integrated ethernet,anyway mk808b plus doesn't have hw on pcb(you can still use usb ethernet adapter if rom support it)
The mk808b plus has m805 soc with cortex a5 and mali450( vendors wrote in descriptions s805 because it's more cool and maybe confused with snapdragon cpu, and also because some manufacter used s805)
The only thing you should know before buying this pcstick is which wifi module has onboard.
-Ap6210 is used on old mk808b plus and is a module with monoband support
-Ap6212 is used in newer mk808b plus and support monoband(2,4ghz)
-realtek module is used in clone mk808b plus. Such as ec-mk808b plus

Other possibility to extend wifi range:
-change router antenna
-set a direction of router's wifi(i mean that router send a signal at 360°..you can reflect antenna waves)
-improve mk808bplus antenna with a custom antenna or improving the antenna capting area..see how an antenna works)

All these devices have LOW wifi range (about 7m from router). You can reduce this problem with:
A)a new router with a big wifi range
B)putting the receiver of your keyboard/mouse in otg port with its cable(reduce interferences between wifi antenna and mouse/keyboard receiver)
C)Reducing the distance between router and the device
D)installing a usb wifi antenna(read which is supported on freaktab)
E) making a little mod at mk808b plus case: a small hole for put outside the wifi antenna
F)use a ethernet cable with usb adapter(not a wifi connection)

N.B.NOT ALL WIFI MODULE are supported in all custom rom. Ex.Ap6212 is supported only in superceleron (probably also openelec porting,ubuntu)
