Keep in mind that that problem only happens if you install CWM as the recovery. The stock recovery goes ahead and formats the internal SD automatically. I'm thinking about not including CWM anymore until I get that problem fixed.Randy

Recieved my second M8pro, for Geekbuing this time. Packed like they were shipping porcelain, and it got here in 8 days as Tracked Airmail :O
Its seem to be working well - very well infact. Not liking the stock and Pipo launcher though. It came with the 20130518 4.2.2 ROM, eager to see how the RileyROM 1.5 performsJust checking and testing a few things first, and running a batch of a few different benchmarks (AnTuTu & Vellamo) to establish a stock baseline

Can you put up some screen shots of Pipo's launcher? I've been wondering what all the fuss was about.
What I try to do...If Fun has a CWM specifically for the tablet is include it as the default recovery. I also include the stock recovery in the kit to flash as an alternative. What I may do is reverse what is the default and make stock the default, and if anyone wants CWM they can flash that instead. If there is no specific CWM for the device...I just put in the stock recovery. I'll leave it up to the users to talk Fun into creating a CWM for them. We have been studying the possibility of creating a Freaktab CWM, but it is a work in progress.
People who are new to flashing ROM's can ease into the more advanced stuff as they learn.Randy

Yeah, I just had the same thought, a little late; Leave the CWM recovery in there, but make the stock recovery default
As I saw one of the pointers on the SDK2.0 was HDMI audio passthrough - is it reasonable to assume that the current ROMs available, don't pass through multi-channel audio? Anyone tested this with 1.5 ?Support your local flasher

My M8pro came with [M8pro-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.root.20130516.105208 test-keys] ROM. I tried my best to do some thorough testing before flashing RileyROM 1.5.
I hit one bump here. WiFi was fast, stable and very good signal on the stock rom it came with. But after flashing to RileyROM 1.5, signal strength is about 2dBm lower, dBm Ø is 5dB lower. Signal is still pretty reasonable - but stability obviously took an impact. It doesn't diconnect, but it fluctates quite alot, and times out atleast once every 5 minutes.
Anyone else experience anything similar? The signal and stability was "golden" with the stock rom, so shouldn't be hardware related.Support your local flasher

pr0xZen, have you tried the latest TNT firmware ( http://www.rockchipfirmware.com/node/185 ) just released?
You could compare wifi signals with yet another 4.2 firmware version. It seems to be offering very much the same as 1.5 and hopefully may also retain the better wifi signal.

I figured it was probably the 3g version because of the 2 wires (leading to 2 antennas, presumably). What I meant about the other end, was ifmyou traced those wires away from the mainboard, and got any pictures of what was in the other end. Hopefully 2 antennas...Support your local flasher
