    ROM coming :)

    I am getting real close now to a custom ROM....

    Let me tell you, lollipop is a totally different animal! Lots to work through.....
    Also the new structure of the ROM and system image is different so I had to learn how to make the sparse file system.

    My ROM will be a flashable ZIP and not require the USB tool.

    Stay tuned

      Excellent, it will be the best rom, thanks for your efforts.

      On last firmware from official source (Tronsmart), I can't change resolutions on 1080p only 24hz available, and some issue or another, like automatic Sata when powering on

        This first release I may or may not have TWRP. Like always I have a 1.0 release to tweak things and as I learn more I come out with new releases.
        Time permitting I may get TWRP in this release.

        As for the 1080P issue. I do not have that! Issues like this is usually due to the box recognizing the capability of your TV and sometimes issues like that can be your HDMI cable.
        For SATA I will look into that. I have not even played with the SATA port yet.

          Finless, you are right, but on first firmware + OTA I could change resolutions, but now on 2016 I can't, so it's a software based solution, but thanks anyway

            Thanks so much for your work. Would you please take a look at write permission for external sd card. With your root applied, user can change permission manually. It will be great to include in your rom.
            Also if possible would you please take a look at the speed of read & write to sd. It's a bit slow and sometimes freeze the box when writing to the sd.

              So un-rooted you cannot write to SDcard?
              I seem to recall this is a new generic Lillipop thing.
              ES File explorer for example when you first try to copy to SD it tells you that you have to give permission to do so. Once you do it will work. This is un-rooted of course.
              So I think your saying the problem is other APPs cannot right to SDcard and because they expect to be able to, they do not ask for that permission?

              Give me an example of your problem here please so I can test it.

                What kind of rom are we talking about....for what device??

                  Will this be Telos only? Out of curiosity, I wanted to try the Ugoos firmware, but their box uses 12vdc like the Telos. I was reluctant because the Meta uses 5vdc. Do they use a different PMD or regulator? Would additional risk come from trying the Telos F/W on the Meta as both are 2GB?

                      No it should not matter physically. The chips still run on 5V and internally there is a regulator.
                      I think they use 12V on some if they have SATA or something else that they need extra power. e.g. 12V 2 amp power supply would need probably a 3 amp 5V power supply and those would cost more.
                      So I think this is the only reason.

                        I see the bug!

                        My Minix U1 when I go to use ES FIle explorer and create a file on SDcard, I have to tell it to give permissions. ES pops up a help screen then opens a hidden permissions menu. There you can grant access by the APP. The S95 does not do this so it is missing this specific Lollipop functionality!

                        Also in Settings both the S95 and Minix U1 is missing the menu called "SD Card Write Access" when you can enable this. Standard Lillipop ROMs have this!
                        Seems AML may have removed it from the SDK for some reason.

                        I will look into fixing this.

                          Unrooted meta also can't make apk's to write on ntfs formatted hdd ( ttorrent, kodi) i have managed to fix that by rooting and then installing kitkat sd card fix from playstore. Now i can save torrents on usb hdd

                            Listen.....will this Rom be compatible with Beelink s905boxes (i have an Mini Mx and an M18), or you gonna make some custom rom for them?
