Depends:
-if img file compression is for stock kitkat amlogic use amlogic customization tool for windows
-if img file compression is used in a lollipop rom: look on xda, there are several tools also for windows

extract original Dho.ko + wifi folder and ovewrite it in the new rom. Probably you can simply extract these file from stock rom and then copy/paste in the new rom with an explorer manager like es file explorer(market)

Open it with the tool then go to program files/amlogic tool folder /temp and there you will have uncompressed data(you can convert it also from img to zip rom)

thank you for taking time , get an unpack error on boot logo, and i am running win10, so files is placed in C:\Users\your nameAppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Amlogic but cant repack because of the unpack error

There should be some documentation in the install to setup java environment. Java 1.7 is required I believe. I did a simple test and was successful porting over one manufacturers rom to another with the customization with the exception of storage...I didn't go much further but will return to it later after I finish what I am working on now.
