Is this based on the same BETA release from the 720P version?

I guess I will have to spend the time to find out. BETA version needs more work as see my bug list.

Finless, this does seemed to be simply a 1080p version of the beta rom

          The QX1 is Awesome

I finally had a chance to explore the QX1 today and I immediately installed the 1080p 4.2.2 ROM. It's awesome! The only down side are things that you (Bob) usually fix like app compatibility and app storage space. It gets a little warm too but if you touch the case to something metal it conducts the heat away and stays fairly cool. I rubber banded mine to a CPU cooler with not fan spinning and it works great. The image quality looks awesome and it still runs pretty fast. Id say about a 15% performance hit for 1080p kernel. Not bad. I'll post a review pretty soon. I'm very pleased so far.

          Cheers,

No worries Rivers... I will be doing a ROM for this. I was waiting for a updated ROM to build from that is more stable than the last one.

My PC SSD disk died Thursday and I had to replace it. Doing a full Win7/64 install this weekend and when I get back up, expect a ROM soon.

Good, I tested all roms published for qx1, and the most stable one is the one dated in may 30, the last one from june 7 has random wifi malfunctions for me. Some times (a lot of times) from a hot reboot loose wifi.
I made a custom basic based in that rom so I can test the next customs kernels, they will arrive soon.
Of course my custom has less features than Bob customs, so your rom will be welcomed.

Thanks for the update Bob. Im really happy this this 1080p ROM but yea you may as well start with the latest. The device preforms great. It got pretty warm but I stuck a passive heat sink on it and problem solved. The case must connect to the CPU because that keeps it nice and luke warm. I'll do a video soon and mention that you should have a ROM coming soon. The external antenna makes a difference too. Thanks again,
                Rivers

                  Hi Rivers,

Is it possible to get a picture of your CPU cooler setup. Have A QX1 with the 1080p rom but it gets so hot that it locks up (at least I assume that is the problem). Thanks!

                      Newbie questions here,

How do i boot my qx1 in flashing mode?

It is by keeping reset switch pressed while connecting to pc or I can reboot device to flash mode by clicking 'Switch' button on rockchip batch tool?

Yep you can click switch but you need Rockchip batch tool v1.7 NOT 1.6
