I've just released a RK3188 ROMs for the Cube U30GT 2 based on cube's 4.2.2 ROM of 1 June 2013

Notes

• Flashing will delete everything on your Cube consider backing up first and remove any sdcard

Instructions

• Download and extract to a folder
• connect the tab to the PC (you did remove the sdcard)
• start the ROM flash tool
• put the tab into flash mode, the PC should detect it, see below for instructions
• install drivers if required
• erase idb
• flash, the ROM kit is correctly configured
• the tab should boot to recovery and format cache, data and sdcard (this will take a few minutes)
• the tab should now boot

Let me know how this goes.

So what do you get?

• defaults to english uk
• root
• some bloat removed
• busybox and init.d support
• play/market fixes for more apps in Google Play
• a choice of 2,4,6 and 8 gig app space, 2 is the default but the others can be selected from the flash tool

Booting to Bootloader

• Power off the Cube
• hold Vol + and connect to usb
• After 3 to 4 seconds release Vol +
• The Cube should be detected by the PC.
• If you have not already installed the drivers now would be a good time. I've included the drivers in the ROM kit in the RockusbDriver folder.

CWM Recovery is not working

Hi, I've tried to enter the recovery, by vol down + power or through the reboot app, and all I get is the green android laid down with a red exclamation mark. It's my problem, or the recovery is no working well?

This ROM contain stock recovery. If you want CWM-recovery, flash it

I have tryed several Jellybean roms for Cube U30GT2. All of them seem to have boot problems. First boot after flashing everything is fine and working smoothly but after powering off the tablet the problems begin. It is very difficult to get the tablet to restart, only after holding power button pressed for 20-30 seconds (forse shutdown) and restarting with the power button it will SOMETIMES turn on. When the tablet has turned on it is very unstable and screen flashes on and off and from side to side.


Everything is working fine with the 4.1 roms like Cube U30GT 2 (1.05) 900 supersport ROM but when upgrading to 4.2 there is always problems, does not matter if I use Freaktab or Arctablet roms.

I manage to get CWM on my Cube. How do I flash the new rom using it? Will it wipe all data or just the system components?

Did I include a readme in the cwm folder?

Summary
Copy system, boot and kernel from the ROM closer into the zip in the cwm folder. Use either linux or if you use windows then 7zip to open the zip file. Copy the updated zip to the tab. Boot to recovery and install the zip. It's recommended to clear cache and factory reset but you are normally OK not to.

why use SuperSU? Free version doesn't allow serial script working e.g. RomToolBox's function 'restore apks'. Free versions of Superuser(ClockWorkMod) and SuperUser(Chainsdd) works!

1st thing I have to do every time (with full re-install) is to try to over-run SU program.

Is your update that same as the 2013.06.03 dated Rom I get confused with the V8 that you mention.

Yes that's the cube base. My v no's relate to the different beta versions. If the pace of new releases settle down I'll see about getting into sync.

Just out of intrest. My cube says in "About tablet" Hardware number V3 (last line). Does your ug30gt2 also say that? I bought mine at mcbub . com.

I don't think so because first I had v3.0 and after flashing his firmware it went to v2.1. I don't know if that's a problem.

Nice the wifi is fixed in this update.
