the firmware in the link is for the M8S Pro not the M8 Pro. The update failed when I tried to install using the SD method.

The firmware at the above link won't install on my box. I have the very same one the M8 Pro RK3368 Octa Core 4K. Anyone know of another source for firmware updates for this box. The Google Play Store force closes and the wifi and ethernet are horrible.

I can't seem to install anything on this box. Tried TWRP recovery for the rk3368 64 bit. Tried firmware updates using the sd card method etc. I can't even get a custom recovery on it. Tried CWM and TWRP. The stock rom is terrible. Google Play Force Closes, wifi end Ethernet are really slow compared to my isp speed. I like the box but it has too many issues on the current 5.1.1. Problem is most of the firmware I've found is older than what is currently on there. Is there anyone else who has this specific box that has been able to get a custom recovery or a different firmware? Would love some help

Why have you tried it? If so do you have the M8 Pro. I would rather not brick this box especially without a custom recovery with a backup.

Hard to brick device. Just make sure you have orginal firmware. Yes ive used on different boxes he has different wifi chipset kernels as well if you know what onevis in your box. If not try one if everything works great if not try the other kernel resource file. 😁
