    MXQ all black, openelec restore

First of all, I like to say hello to everyone. And hopefully you'll let me pick your brains.

Here is what I am trying to do......

I am running an MXQ all black with Openelec 6.1
Have heavily customised my set up and got it as near to perfect as I want it. I have a backup through openelec which if I need to use, I can just go into the openelec settings and do a restore. What I would like to do is, if I need to do a reset (toothpick style) I would like my system to automatically restore to my current settings without having to go in separately and do an openelec restore.

Have read through the forum, maybe I missed something but I couldn't find a solution. I'm not up on coding although fully prepared to have a go if someone could point me to a walk-through to achieve this. Any help would be muchly appreciated and thanks in advance people.

Just use the update version of Openelec. This is a .tar file which is placed into the 'update' folder on the MXQ. When the box is restarted it updates its system files without affecting any user settings.
