Help to identify android box

Hi,

I just bought XTOUCH XTV-1. http://www.xtouch.ae/plus/view.php?aid=797
I found it online under the names CX-818 or MK909. Do you have any idea if fineless rom will work?(if yes which one) I need it because I want to update libstage etc. It comes with Android 4.2.1

Yeah, but it has less ports. Anyhow do you think it's safe enough to flash it with minix or your firmware? I mean even if it's bricked because of that will I be able to restore through RK software?

Make sure you have the stock ROM available to you. Then you can flash anything you want and should be able to recover. Make sure you know how to always put the unit into flash mode (physically) and your good to go.

These devices are really hard to perma brick! In fact really almost impossible. People that cant seem to reflash after flashing a wrong ROM, is almost always user error and in a FEW cases, a hardware failure.

Thanks Bob, I had a RK tablet years ago and remember that restoring was east. Anyhow just last question - my device have only 4GB NAND while neo 5 has 16. Do I have to change anything in rom for that?
