Fix my PiPo X6 or New Box?

    Two parts to my question:

    ---------------------

    Fix my PiPo X6?

I have a PiPo X6 Android box which has RK3288 and 2GB RAM. Enough you would think for my needs (playing/streaming 720 video in Kodi and other apps being the most common task I ask it to do). I've noticed recently that more and more video streams I am playing are beginning to stutter after being played for a few minutes. I know my internet connection/speed is good so my guess is that it is potentially a heat issue and the CPU is throttling (backed up by the fact the video always starts well but the stuttering/juddering kicks in after a few mins).

Does anyone know if there is a solution or anything I can try to avoid this happening OR if I am in fact wrong and it is some other kind of issue I may be experiencing?

    New Box?

If the box has had it (or indeed if I just want to upgrade), I am stuck in choosing the best box to upgrade to. As mentioned above, mainly using it for streaming and playing videos up to 1080 (in Kodi and other apps) but in most cases they are no more than 720. I prefer the Android platform (no need to mention pros/cons of this and other platforms) and am looking at either an S905 or RK3368 box. I have specifically seen a Beelink Mini MX (S905) and a Z68 (RK3368) both for under £50 with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM on GearBest. Are either of these likely to cause any problems in the juddering/stuttering/throttling/stability department based on my usage? They have almost identical stats for the same price so it is really the preference on box/CPU that makes the decision for me... what's best?
