    Hi Bob,

    Could you please make a ROM based on your Finless 1.5a rom including the following information:

    ro.build.product=GT-N7000
    ro.product.brand=Samsung
    ro.product.device=GT-N7000
    ro.product.model=GT-N7000
    ro.product.name=GT-N7000
    ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
    ro.product.locale.region=UK

    I believe this might help me to get sky go working

    EDIT: I have run into a slight issue.... The StockRom did allow me to download the SkyGo app, however the Finless Rom 1.5a does not, it does not appear on google play.

    any ideas?

      You are rooted. It is far simpler for you to just edit build.prop yourself rather than me making a ROM just for that.

      Get ES File Explorer from Google Play
      On the left menus turn on root explorer and in the pop up turn on mount RW.

      Now just click on build.prop and edit it in ES File explorer.
      Save it and reboot.

        Hi,

        As far as I am aware Sky Go will not work on rooted devices at all. Is this a workaround for the rooting issue? Just asking because I want it on my rooted nexus 7 and S3.

        Cheers

          I just found that out I am thinking of possible ways to get around this issue but I am stuck at the moment...

            I have tried Finless ROM 1.5a and then tried changing build.prop to UK Local with help from Finless / Bob, (thanks mate)

            Sky go was not visible on Playstore to start, so I installed the Hacked verison and Skygo showed up, so installed it... after that I installed Voodoo OTA unroot, to hide the root... That had unrooted \ hidden the fine (used an app to test and it said unrooted), SkyGo loaded all the TV shows appeared for me to choose but still found it to be a rooted device when trying to play something back, I also installed "Hide HDMI" but still the same...

            I think I need to have a Custom rom made with UK local and spoofing to a Samsung device with no root.

            I have started a topic about it as I do not know where to start... after looking at Youtube im baffled... .

            I do not care about Root access to be honest, just want sky go to work

            any ideas anyone? (I am sure many UK uses would also love this working)

            Thanks

            -ace

            PS I think this is whats needed

            Required
            Build.Prop that suggests it is a Samsung Device with a UK local

            Maybe not sure
            Hide HDMI
            Hacked Playstore 4.1.1
            Skygo app

              I see this thread is a few months old, anyone have any luck with trying to get Sky Go to run on Android or any other devices?

              ACE9094, did you try spoofing your device with "Device Spoofer" or "Market Helper" ? Market Helper has a profile for the Samsung Galaxy S3 which you mentioned in your post.

              I've tried several attempts with my Android CS918 but with no luck.

              My device is rooted.
              I first used Device Spoofer to change the profile of my device to a HTC Desire HD, which is on the supported devices list for Sky Go. Already made sure HDMI was concealed with HDMI virtual switch.
              I activated VPN to a UK IP as I'm outside the UK.
              I then used Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to temp. unroot my device.

              All looking good, opened up Sky Go, signed in and all I get is the main menu screen with none of the channel options (top left hand corner) working. I can access all other settings etc. fine.

              Can't be too far away from getting it to work surely ? Anyone got any other suggestions as to how I might get Sky Go working ?
