Problem booting MXQ S85 (red stripe)

Hi all,

I have a MXQ S85 (red stripe with 111k4) bought late 2015 in Gearbest, that have the same problem since the beginning..., it works great the first two days and thereafter it does not start well again (freezing or blinking logo )

I tried several different firmwares (dualkit, superceleron, 112k4...) but all happens the same thing, ok for the first couple of days but after that it wont start well anymore (sometimes i have to push the start buttom 10 times, and sometimes it does not start at all).

Does someone has the same problem?

Never impressed with the MXQ models, understood the price is good (MXQ are cheap), but for the price the quality of the hardware probably just as good as the price. I would just purchase a different box, get one of the MXIII series IMO. If you have tried different firmwares and the same thing happens with each firmware, more than likely it is a hardware issue, so new hardware (new box) probably the answer...and who doesn't like new boxes..

certainly buying a new one would solve the problem.... I may do that... though not having the box all this time I 've gotten used to the old chromecast and I think I will use that for awhile...

Try a different power supply if you can. You need a 5V supply capable of delivering 2A.

Thank you Compos, i hace tried to use a different AC , I had one at home, but it makes no difference.... : (
I may give it another try...
