Same. Videos, even at low resolution are watchable due to the non-smoothness of the video on the cx919

Or attach a (wireless) keyboard and then press ctrl-alt-del
Wait 20 sec. Or so and voila :-)

            CX919 Crashing...

            Hi

I have my second CX919 connected now, it is a little better than the first one, but it still crasches very often.
What seems to crash most of the time is when I try to browse the net. Tried stock browser, as well as Chrome, but it crashes 100% of the time.

I have updated it to Finless latest ROM, but no big improvments on stability, I´m afraid.

Any suggestions to get this stick more stable?

I think that you should try the Neomode 1.7 ROM:

I have a new CX-919 and before I installed the neomode 1.7, always had had problems... Like system freeze/crash, slow wifi speed, and auto-reset (system auto boot without any reason)...

Now with the neomode 1.7, I never had any system lock and all is working flawlessly.

I would like to also suggests you to install the latest Nexflix 3.0.2 released 31.oct.2013 (if you have an account)... With the neomode 1.7 the Netflix 3.0.2 APP works smooth and the video image is clear without any stops!

Neomode mentioned that he will update his 1.7 ROM this week to fix some minor errors, so you could try and install the current 1.7 version or wait for the latest one that should be available in a couple of days...

                Thanks! =)

I think I will try neomode, getting really tired of these crashes now...

Do you know it neomode supports ethernet connection? Old house, thick walls, wifi quality poor in the building...

I think it supports ethernet connections, however I don't have the ethernet/USB Adapter and I am using only WIFI...

Apparently there are various different CX-919 Models (with different PC-Boards and Wifi-Chips), so Please let us know if the neomode 1.7 works OK with your CX-919.

                    Wireless Speed

I have not purchased this unit but am actively considering. Can someone please let me know how is the internet Speed over WiFi ? Does it support 5 GHZ Wiiress band ?

Previously I had FAVI SmartStick. That had very poor Wireless Speeds. So I want to make sure to get speed right before I buy.

Don't ... Well, I got it to run, and is able to stream over WiFi etc. 2.5 Ghz N.
But I wouldn't buy it.. I would throw some more money after one of the cabled ones.

For instance .. Or, I purchased the Tronsmart Vega 89. A really nice player (some minor bugs and inconveniences).

Yeah I debated with that one too. I saw reviews on Amazon that panned Tronsmart for lousy customer service. Minix customer service is suggested to be better.

May I ask how's Wireless performance for you on the Vega S89 ? Can you stream Netflix or some such service at 1080p without buffering ?
