Hey Damo, I came here to get the latest on your Cube and all I found was Boot Screen info! Going to change this Thread to "Arnova Boot Screen LLC" LOL!!!

Anyway I was just wondering if you now have the full ICS on your cube? I know earlier you stated that it was a Hybrid. I also read where Finless talked about the speed of the ICS not being as fast as the gingerbread single core. Well with the latest update on my Onda ICS I can tell you that the speed will clock in just under the debloated Arnova. I have not seen anything yet as fast as the no nonsense Finless Rom, but since I first received my Onda Vi40 to now there has been great strides in getting ICS up to speed.

I was just curious to see if the Cube now has ICS and with the updates you mentioned in an earlier post, if you found the same increase in speed.

The cube ships as default with Ics and it has just been updated to a new version from the manufacturer. There are also about 7 Rom cookers working on it now. I use a firmware by Wackym that has cleaned up the Ics firmware by removing all the Chinese stuff etc and I am impressed with it and if is working on an update that brings faster clock speed etc so I am looking forward to it!

There is great support for this tablet it is just difficult knowing which Rom is the best. As soon as Wackym brings out the update he has given Bob permission to work his magic on the Rom, so I can't wait!

I think the tab is fast under Ics, with it been the latest out it is just a matter app makers to update programs to it.

What is the support like for your tab are you in the same position as me?

Well the support originally was non existent. However with the increased popularity of ICS and the Onda being singled out as one of the best along with the Cube support has made a dramatic swing. The difference is that the Onda has the Alwinner A10 and the Cube has the Vortex. Besides that the rom could almost be identical. There was releases from the factory that made great strides, however another rom cooker with support from a site Top Notch Tablets published another rom update to the Beta 1.0 that the factory released and by far and away it is awesome!! It removed all of the Chinese language, included apps like Maps, etc., Google Chrome that is made specifically for 4.0 that I could not load before because the tablet showed as not compatible, and many improvements. Also included were speed enhancements and bug fixes. I think that the only improvement I would like to see would be the Finless Debloated rom on the ICS platform. The tablet is already fast and the screen is ultra responsive. Then with the 2160p playback with flash 11 support the Netflix movies rivals my LED tv, great picture with near 3d quality depth. Just amazing that a tablet from China has come a long way. Best is the fact that the company is a top China factory and offers support unlike some where you have no idea where it came from and have to pay to get support from their forum sites. TRASH! Keep me posted to the advances and updates. I believe that we have 2 of the best 4.0 releases out right now and can only offer user information to others.

may have to get bob a Vi40 so he could work his magic on the already "rooted" rom. I truly believe that if this tablet or the Cube was debloated like the G2 it would be against the law! :-) :-)
