Looking for new tablet. Sugestions welcome.

Wife has an ipad mini that is on its last legs and she would like to replace it.

I am looking for a 8 inch tablet with microsd support , hd screen, lollipop minimum and with guaranteed upgrade to marshmallow.

I have been burned with Cube that left me with an unfinished tablet T9 and i want to avoid making the same error.

Is there anything new around the corner? The current crop of 8 inch tablets is not very interesting.

I have been hoping for something new in 9.7" as well... with an upgrade path. Things look rather stagnant from China though, so I will for the moment forge forward with my Cube T9 (which looks to be indestructible).
I do not see any China maker giving an upgrade path of any degree with their goods. If there is one out there, I would love to know as well.

All the tablets seem to be using the intel z8300 so that tbey can offer dual boot systems android/win10...
The only decent one ive seen is the xiaomi mi pad but with only 16gb of ram and no sdcard ruins it completely for me.
