Video is the same on both versions, wifi is better on 4.1.1 for me ...

Another vote for this version over 4.2.2

Tried Finless 4.2.2 - had too many problems - flashed back to 4.1.1. All seems to work fine now. I did not have the errors about unsupported video res when switching back to this version. Looks and runs fine. I did the full erase nand, and then rom load from the utility.

can't get flash tool to see the cx919

not sure what i'm doing wrong here.

i got the drivers installed (x64 win7).. but when i put it in flash mode and open up the tool it says no found rkandroid rock usb.

rockusb device is listed in my device manager and says it's working properly.

did i do something dumb or miss something?

Try a different usb port, I had the same issue connected to usb3, I switched to usb2 and it worked like a charm

I had asked this question (below) in another post, but no response so far. So i thought i will try here. If somebody know of a way to backup the rom please let me know.

Does anybody have CWM recovery on 4.1.1? I tried the update.zip method but it says invalid package. Then i tired flashing it using finless's tool and that just gives me a blank screen.

If anybody has this on their cx-919 with finless 4.1.1 rom let me know. It worked fine when i was on 4.2.2 but i had to move back to 4.1.1 because of other issues.

BTW i am using generic rockchip CWM (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...rk3066-devices)

Question to existing android 4.1.1 rom v1.4
your rom os 4.1.1 support pinch to zoom for playing angry birds, so i can zoom in game and zoom playing area for complete overview?
In the game "cogs" i can rotate the cube?

where i can find more infos for "pinch to zoom" and why this mod is not available for android 4.2.2 v1.4/v1.5...

so anyone can confirm that with this rom i can use the mouse-wheel for "pinch to zoom" in the above games and many many other android games....

Pinch to zoom is not in any 4.2.2 ROM yet. I tried porting the code from 4.1.1 but it wont work. Too many differences!

I have flashed 30.08. android 4.1.1 v1.4 finless...

PICH TO ZOOM with mouse-wheel scrolling works perfect...

tested this games:
angry birds (all parts and latest versions) - works fantastic zoom in/out in game play:-)
Cogs (Rotation of Cube works :-))

this feature is amazing, hope this will come one day on android 4.2.2 rom...

I have made this change to original v1.4 android 4.1.1, is this ok?

replaced rockchip-loader from v1.20 to v1.24 from latest finless 1.5 android 4.2.2

partition size for internal memory was set to 4gb

problems detected:
system freeze
since flash i have 4 freezes, but all the time the rom runs smoothly...
i think the freezes occur in google play store or when i klick two times or more with mouse-button

no micro sd support
the same bug as on android 4.2.2, micro SD-Card is not useable, Sd-Card detection is wrong, becouse this is only the rest to the internal memory...(only 4gb becouse 4gb is internal memory partition)...

hdmi-problem
After the os booted the screen flicker and set the resolution to the right hdmi-solution.
for 1 second the signal is lost and detected new...

I can't seem to get it into boot mode

I have rooted alot of things and this must be the most basic thing ever. ONE button (Fn) but the led turns blue, no matter how many times I try. This was option one.

Option two using the flash tool. I did the stuff at step 3 but the last one where it says "Go into USB menu and turn on USB." I have "Connect to PC" so I turn that on and remove it to plug it into the PC yet again, I get the sound that I have connected something to the USB but in the flash tool I get "No found RKAndroid rock usb", again.

Any ideas? Can my Fn button be DOA? I got it today

I really want this to work because I can't stream movies at all from my PC, well they play but after a few seconds it hangs and it buffers up for 10-15 seconds and then plays for another 10 sec, really annoying. Any help appreciated.

Screen size/scale adjustment

In finless 1.5 ROM there's "rock chip settings" where the screen size/scale can be adjusted. Anybody know if there's any way to access or add this to 1.4 or if there's a 4.1.1 ROM as good that has this option at all?
