The remote of Tronsmart is not working in this roms because they are for another device HPH.
If you have a smartphone you can use the RKRemoteControl app or use a usb keyboard and mouse.

You can just flash v1.8 firmware over v1.9 if you want to test that again, no problem.

thanks mo, ive messed around with the various audio settings. However, im getting muffled/crackling audio. Im going to give 1.8 a try and see what it does. Think i was on 1.6 or 1.7 and skipped 1.8 entirely, so will have a look and see what works best for me

Since the firmware was built from a different source to fix the audio pass-through problem some things like the power button, statusbar was completely missing and had to be added.
So an extra setting like Sleep was then also missing.
I will work on it next week together with 4K 100% scaling on some tv's.
Thanks mo, would be great to have the sleep option back, as its quicker to get straight into things

any idea on the other issue? I noticed that my sound breaks into a muffled/crackling type sound, at which point im having to reboot and the sound is fine again. Is this still WIP in terms of pass through, as i have mine set to pass through in the settings.

I have an issue, that I'm hoping somebody can assist with.

I installed the 1.9 firmware, and it installed successfully. I was going through it, when it suddenly switched off. The player was extremely hot, and I had to unplug and wait for it to cool off.

After plugging in again, it was okay..however , I cant seem to switch it on via the power button, without unplugging it 1st. If I hit the power button and hold it, it will switch on, but as soon as I release it, it will switch off again. Never had this issue before.

Finally, i notice that there is no sleep option, only a shutdown and reboot. Any idea why this option was removed?

    Thanks

I mean that the image is moved towards the left so some parts of the for example web browser are not displayed. Should I install the latest version? Thanks again.

.... use the Android tool to flash this fix to your boot partition.

Check only the 'boot' checkbox and flash this file for 1024X768

That's rather good information and decision.
If they are able to create stable Nougat firmware for RK3288 that's great. Even if only one feature of Nougat is realy needed by me. I mean at last in ASOP grade firmwares there will be possible to do WebView OTA "auto" updating. Feature which was announced in Lollipop but not used in ASOP versions because there supposedly shouldn't be any Google app installed. Nougat ASOP will give a choice to use Google Play Store Webview. There will be no need to install Xposed WebView selector.

Thank you so much in advance

Recommended to use the latest version.
Then HD Audio will also work and it will have better video playback.

I will skip Marshmallow firmware and make HPH NT-V6 Nougat firmware in 1-2 months when everything is ready and RK also released RKMC v17.
There will be 2 Kodi's, official Kodi 17 and RKMC v17 that can be used, Rockchip is busy implementing all the Kodi 17 required Mediacodec changes into their firmware and testing things.
They will stop support for Lollipop and Marshmallow over the next few months and only Nougat will get updates and bug fixes.

Recommended to get a new tv.
But you can also try - Settings - Display - Screen Scale and see if you can change the screen scale to fit your tv screen.
Most tv's also have their own zoom/scale settings like 'auto' or 'fit screen' that should scale it correctly.

I will check for users with 4K tv's so it zooms fullscreen soon where it looked like it was only 99%.
