i'll try jdownloader now, but never had problems in downloading hundrets of files from mega...

7zip doesn't even asks for password. i got error before.

When I open it with 7zip it asks for a password to extract.
The file is just over 700MB when extracted.
Do you use Jdownloader or Mipony to download the file?

Just downloaded the file myself and extracted, nothing wrong.

You can use Jdownloader to download the mega link then you can know it downloaded correctly.
You need to uncompress with 7zip not winrar or winzip.

If you don't mind, can you please give the NTMC apk link? I would like to test this with the Wasser ROM.
Your NTMC is the best for me to play movies. (Compare with FTMC, RKMC, ZDMC).

It only works properly on this firmware(system/preinstall/NTMC)
You can change the following in RKMC it should run the same on a different device.
GUI sounds never, auto frame-rate switching 5 seconds, keep audio device alive never.

3. Click 'EraseFlash' to wipe your device, wait for it to finish. Does step 3 is necessary?

EraseFlash is not necessary but it is sometimes better if you want the EMMC storage to perform better and start clean.
Sometimes flashing over older firmware can cause problems around 10% of the time.
The misc.img is the file responsible for wiping the userdata.
If you flash a lot of firmware it is best to use the Kodi Backup addon to backup your settings and for Android apps, you can download all your required apk files from a website and then use an Android multiple app installer to install all the apps automatically.

Without Tronsmart releasing new LP firmware, it will be difficult to fix that problem.
I don't have a lot of time to troubleshoot problems of different devices at the moment.

Yes
Better to do an 'EraseFlash' then 'Upgrade' to start fresh.
The misc.img file is the file responsible for erasing everything so if firmware is flashed without it then it won't erase anything.
But the problem is there will be problems with already installed apps going that route then won't be properly updated.

For Kodi, I would recommend to make a backup with the Backup addon, then your addons can easily be restored after any flashing and also
download all your apps from apkpure.com and use a multi app installer for Android, then all your apps can be quickly installed in one go.

But I have a small problem on my Tronsmart R3288: when I click on the Power Off option, the box restart instead of turn off.
Can you please help me to fox it ?
