FIXED: Lollipop HDMI won't sync with legacy Sony Bravia TV's e.g. KDL32S5100

I've been wanting HULU on my android boxs and determined that the HULU app was developed for lollipop. No big deal, I ordered up an M8S+ and MXQ pro to upgrade my old non smart tvs. The boxes work great on my ole Sharp Aquos, however moving over to my Sony Bravia KDL32S5100 is an other story.

It seems that the Lollipop HDMI 2.0 support won't sync with the old Sony Bravia HDMI port. I've tried several cables that are known to work ( all cables ARE Alike) . I have gone to my Sharp to force setting to 1080i and 720p as suggested by sony. At time the MQX pro will auto seek to 1080P, I finally figured out that the new settings interface is a little tricky to lock in.

I have set both units up on an ASUS monitor to make sure that the settings were holding true, and indeed, they were stable at 1080i and 720p after power cycling the androids or power cycling the Sony Bravia but no matter what no signal found.

There are times where leaving the set on eventually 1080P is recognized, but as soon as the Sony Bravia is power cycled sync is lost and at this time I have been unable to re acquire the sync.

It has been nearly impossible to google this problem as Sony Bravia is an "Android tv" and Lollipop is a big selling point at the moment, so I Imagine mine and others situation is relegated to somewhere around page 15 on google search. I did run into your site which I am glad to have found and figured it would be worth while to post my findings here. I can only surmise that this may be a leading cause for people to think that after updating their boxes to lollipop they bricked themselves, I sure thought that these units were if it wasn't that I had two brand new units.

BTW, if you have bricked your box, hook it up to an HDMI monitor first, it might be your TV if you have a Sony. I sure would have thought the unit was a dead on arrival if I did not have a second completely different unit.

HULU works great with Lollipop, I think that it will be a standard with Netflix soon for Lollipop devices.

    Alrighty,
This morning I put back my original M8S and low and behold NO VIDEO.
    SO FIX

    POWERED OFF all devices
    Went and made Breakfast

    Connect TV Box to HDMI

    POWERED ON MXQ Pro

    Power on Sony Bravia

    Bang 720P working
    switch to 1080 i WORKING
    switch to 1080P Working

Switch Bravia to Pixel Full mode and now I can run display setting at 100%.

I still think there may be something with Lollipop and HDMI 2.0 initially,
