    Morka Mod with Finless updates coming

    By very popular requests and even Morka giving the go ahead to help do EXT4, etc to his ROM, I will be doing Morka Mod ROMs for the 10G2, 9G2, and 7G2.

    I will just say.... My EXT4 mods will be correct and all partitions will be real ext4. Sowa's Morka MOD ROM for the 8G2 is in fact correct also. Just as I have stated about my other Arnova ROMs there is a correct way to implement EXT4!!!!

    However, the Morka Mod's are his. I will not be changing them. Any bugs, issues, etc in his ROM will still be there. He has for more knowledge about his ROM than I will ever have so fixes will need to come from him. I simply will be adding my performance mods to HIS ROM... So please don't ask me to make major changes.

    Also I will be removing some of the APPs he has in his ROM. Realize my rules here. Unless the maker of these APPs has given specific permission to use them in ROMs, I cannot jeopardize this site by possibly violating the copyrights of APP makers. So please understand this.
    I will be removing:
    Button Savior
    apkinstaller
    Screen Shot ER demo
    And an App I cannot identify


    So stay tuned.....

    Big thanks to Morka for all the work he has put into his ROM. I will be glad to help and add my MODs to improve it.

    something i do not understand.
    you talk about removing apps right.(copyrights)
    what about the google market that you baked in your roms
    arnova do not have permissions from google for the market.

      We have all looked and read Google's EULA (End User License Agreement) and the terms and conditions. Google does not have any statements about rights to distribute the Market (now google play). So they are not stating we cannot do it. These other applications (APKs) all have a EULA from the Market when you download them. So this means you have to get direct permission from the APK maker.

      Trust me, I am involved with Copyrights and EULA's for a living! So I know what to look for.

          My Arnova is ready and waiting Bob and my son is ready to HAMMER the games on it when you have it ready. I bought Titanium Backup PRO so restoring will be fast and easy for him to take back off with a BUNCH of games.

          Looking forward to another ROM release!!

            Getting CLOSE!

            I have found some issues I am correcting. Getting "REAL" EXT4 was for sure an issue but now resolved.

            I am testing myself now and it is looking good.

            Should have it up tonight I hope!

              I am letting you guys know. ANY OTHER ROM OUT THERE claiming EXT4 is not true. I have said it 100 times now. Some people are using Fenice .ko modules improperly and I do not care what DF on the command line says! It is NOT CORRECT! It is not "real" ext4 PERIOD!

              I have now spent quite a bit of time getting true EXT4 on Morka ROM. Trust me! When you compare performance between my Morka Mod Finless ROM and any others.. YOU WILL SEE the difference!
              It took me 3 hours to get it right. So I spent the time testing and confirming REAL ext4 unlike other ROMs out there that just "took the code but did not spend the time to understand it". Those ROMs trust me are not even getting the BEST they could!
              After flashing my ROM the next reboot (not the first boot), YOU WILL see the difference
              Freakin fantastic! Even I was impressed

              I have also removed some build.prop tweaks Morka has done. The reason is stability! Some of these build.prop tweaks I have tried even on stock Gingerbread ROM. There is a trade off. Stability vs some performance increase. I prefer stability. So I am removing some of these.

              In my README.TXT document I will explain what I removed and if you all want to add them back you can.

              OK so now I am pretty excited about my Morka Mod with Finless perfomance tweaks! Morka did a FREAKIN EXCELLENT JOB with this ROM compared to what I tested from him about 3 weeks ago! He has come a LONG way with HIS ROM. I am actually pretty impressed with it now and I am glad to add my performance MODs to it.

              I think this is a combination of effort that you guys may really like! I wish Morka would come join us here in the ROM Developers area. I think we could really ramp up the ROM dev working together.

              I am a hard ass for a good "stable" ROM and I have to tell you I am pretty happy so far with this one I am cooking.

                        Bob is helping a friend move today so not sure when he will be home. He is definitely getting closer when I talked to him this morning but have not talked to him since about 5AM my time.

                            You think I am not? I made the mistake of telling my son he would have a new ROM to test yesterday and he has asked me about 100 times since if it was ready for him to try yet.

                            My Arnova is ready and waiting, fully charged. Looking forward to the new ROM myself.
