    Download IDB Failed

I keep having issues with my MK809III and have to completely wipe and flash it every once in a while. Well, this time, it randomly decided it would start rebooting over and over. Then I tried to boot it again, and it got a "Type Password to Decrypt Storage." I am assuming that data.img couldn't mount or something like that. So I decided, "Ok, time to reflash AGAIN." I use ncr_31_mk809III_kitkat to flash on it.

I erased the IDB with no issues, but now I'm getting "Download IDB Failed" as soon as I hit "Run." I tried erasing the IDB a couple more times, and I'm still getting the "Download IDB Failed" error. What's weird too is I don't need to put the paperclip in the reset hole thing in order to connect it to my computer. I just plug the USB into the OTG port and the other end into my computer, and I hear that "bong" sound, and RK Android Tool says "Found."

I have also tried multiple USB ports and multiple cables.

    Well then... never mind.
What I did was start trying to short pins 8 & 9 over over and over and over. I'd unplug the usb, put a paper clip between pins 8 & 9, plug in the usb, hear the "bong," try to flash, get the error "Download IDB Failed," then try again. Eventually it worked.

I don't know if each time it was actually shorting the pins, because whether I shorted the pins or not, or whether I put a paperclip in the recovery hole or not, my PC would detect it. So it was really hard to tell.
