I even went and compiled the most recent source of rkunpack that I could find (1.0.1) and got the same error. If anyone has any info on a way to get around this I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

Edit: or if anyone knows how to extract the kernel from a running stick... maybe that´s common knowledge but I haven´t come across it yet.
I had to use img_unpack from the rk29mumble tool set mentioned in the rk development post in the mods and roms section. The use rkunpack.

SSD disks don't last as long a regular hard disk but mine lasted 3 years! I am happy with that for the increased performance!

When I get back up this weekend I will work on a ROM using this release.

I went with puppy linux frugal install You can set the event manager to save at what ever period you like and if there is something important you are doing there is a manual save button. Everything else is done in ram. My system (also my network print/file server) is up for weeks at a time with virtually no ssd disk activity. I also have win7 on the ssd in case I have the need, but just never boot to it. I can pretty much do everything in puppy
