MK808B Pro: WiFi, BT, USB-OTG problems

Hi,

So I am long time fan of MK808B Plus (liked the original more than the clone) anyway I needed lollipop and the update bluetooth stack that comes with lollipop. So I got the Pro and I am facing the following problems:

1- Bluetooth range is just 1.5 meters in line of sight, really really bad range.
2- WiFi also with few meters away from the AP i start facing packet drops (30%) and big jitter (20ms-280ms) only if it right next to the AP then it is working okay.
3- USB-OTG port works always as host, so I can plug a web cam .. etc but when I plug it to my mac/pc nothing happens as in Host-Host relation. I need to ADB over USB anybody has ADB working?

I have been looking all over the internet for anybody who is facing similar problems, only some people talked about wifi problem.

-Would you guys who has the MK808B Pro try what I have mentioned do you guys have the same problem in your stock ROM?

-Are all those problems fixed in

Try pulling your antenna flag out to increase reception. and i just test the adb and i get the same with neomode rom as well. I tested adb over wifi and it worked. I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...sbyhenry&hl=en Skipped first 2 steps in app and did "adb connect x.x.x.x" on pc and i was able to connect. I just did a proof of concept and rebooted nothing more. hope this helps.

I did test and started a full backup now. Kinda Slow but works

Yes. My Rom has fixed that Problem.
For ADB i Work on and have a fix for it.

prahjister Thanks a lot for your tests. I took out the antenna, it helped a bit, but now I am wondering how come my MK808B Pro antenna is longer than what I have seen in CNX teardown picture. Here is my antenna picture:


I am no antenna expert but I know that the length must be something like quarter of the wave length, maybe they messed up the antenna length in my unit.
Thank you for the adb over wifi tip. However, I am amazed how come nobody mentioned or complained about the USB-OTG is not working, it is just always in host mode.

Sounds awesome. I guess the fix is for USB-OTG right? that it will act as periphery. I do not think that there is any problem with ADB, but the problem is in the OTG to switch from Host mode to periphery mode. Do you build your rom from sources or modify using some kitchen ?

My ROM is made from Sources.
Everything else where waste Time.

neomode btw the packet drop over local network is also happening in your custom rom. It is very strange that there is not much packet drop when I ping some server on the internet. I tested that it is not because of my wifi AP at home. I made many tests and it is for sure because of MK808B Pro. This packet loss over local network makes Miracast lag and playing movies from a drive over LAN lag and many disconnections due to packet timeout.

Try something like this to see your self (of course, replace ip with you mk808b pro lan ip): ping 192.168.1.42
