    iFive X2 4.1.1 RileyROM 1.0

This is based on the firmware update released by iFive on 6-6-13.

If you read this thread you will find that version 1.0 wouldn't boot. I started from scratch and created a new ROM that works, and I called version 1.1. Just follow the same link below to the download page. Version 1.0 is no longer available.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    Init.d support
    Busybox links added
2, 4, 6, or 8 gig user app space by choosing the appropriate parameter file.

    Thanks to:

Tattman65 for his boot animation graphics
    Petrus for Reboot.apk
    900Supersport for his flash tool

There is the link to the download page:

I am waiting for one of these tabs to be delivered. I notice this thread has had over 200 views but no feedback yet. I'd love to see some if anyone has tried this rom?

I can't seem to install the ROM, everytime I flash the rom; it boots in recovery and recovery says; formatiing /data, /cache, /mnt/sdcard, rebooting. And than nothing happens .

Thanks for the update on that. I will look into what is causing the problem.

I really want to get this ROM working.

Stay tuned. It may be a few days, though.

The description says something about 'It should count up to 16384.' when erasing IDB, mine is 4096 (or something like that)

But when installing an other ROM, it just boots in that specific ROM.

The number in the readme file may not be accurate. I use the same set of instructions for my ROM's and edit them to the specific tablet. 4096 is likely the correct number. I'm working on a whole new set of instructions.

                  Re: iFive X2 4.1.1 RileyROM 1.0

May I ask...at which screen does it stop? Do you see the RILEYROM shield? Do you see any of the boot screens?

Does it stick in flash mode?

This will tell me where to look for the problem.

                    Hi there,
no, the flash initializes, counts up to 4096 in rk tool, then reboots the tablet, and then nothing happens...
                    hope that helps?

I have redownloaded the firmware...I'm just going to start from scratch with a new ROM, because I can't seem to find my work files I used. Hopefully, I can retrace my steps and get a working ROM going.

I don't have one of these tablets to test, so doing it in the dark.

                      I will keep you posted.

Thanks a bunch! Now it's running perfectly... great ROM!

on another note: would you be interested in porting the Visture ROM 4.2.2 July 5, 2013, (discussed here)? Benefits would include JB4.2.2 and the RK3188 SDK v2.0

Since I don't have this tablet to test, it is hard for me to port other ROM's to this one. You can get into many problems with individual hardware elements, such as touch screen, wifi, bluetooth, etc...

If you know of a working method to port 4.2.2 to this tablet that has been tested, I would be happy to put the parts together, but as a rule, I pretty much only work with the official stock firmware for the prescribed tablet or from a ROM Dump from a tablet that firmware is unavailable.
