Kodi or Vidon USB playback problem

So....I have tried different movie files that are mkv and other file types containing a dolby or dts sound container and they will not play with Kodi or Vidon. It causes the Telos to freeze up and I have to unplug it to restart it. Also it causes my tv to change its display refresh rate to regular 1080p 60fps which is what the Telos is set too, and it changes the tv to display 1080p 24fps. I personally don't like this and want to know if this is how the box works because I'm having alot of performance issues. I have the Tronsmart Draco and it at least plays the files I have just not very smoothly. Any ideas or do I need a refund? Or a different box? Or just give up?

Never give up. New devices always have some issues. Hopefully someone figgers it out.

Hello gokuh82, I have not experienced any freezing while operating Kodi or any of its derivatives on the S95(Meta in my case). The only exception was running some early Kodi 17 nightlies. There have been some issues with very brief, but frequent, sound dropouts on DTS, across all Kodi versions and its derivatives, running on the S95 and other S905 boxes. I believe this has been fixed in the latest firmware. What firmware version is your Telos running?

Also, take a screen capture of your audio settings and those in Kodi/XBMC/VidOn, and post them here.

As stated by scooter2014, don't give up. There will be plenty of time for that later, should we be unable to find the solution.
