Hi Wolfheart - I made this thread so issues can be posted. So Devs dont have to search all over to see what the issue is as well as presenting area where Gearbest can send to Manufacture. So post away present detailed issues and let everyone know what does /doesnt work so hopefully someone can look into it. At the least its out there for your use.

                Use this method:

I had previously bricked my MXQ Pro + 4K S905 2GB/16GB with a bad flash. I bought this box from Everbuying (http://www.everbuying.net/product1164624.html). It would hang at the Bootscreen logo and the toothpick method had no response when attempting to boot into recovery mode while plugged into the TV.
                http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...188#post572188

I was finally able to recover the box!

Get a Male to Male, USB-A to USB-A cable to plug the box into your computer.

Download and install USB Burning Tool 2.0.7
                https://mega.nz/#!04EDWDLQ!EGJM1sFU2...NgjFan0fzTxQRs
                Original source link http://aml.technikexpert.com/amlogic...v2.0.7_x86.rar
(I can't seem to find where exactly I found this particular version, I've spent hours over several days attempting to recover the box and have lost track of that particular tab)

                Download Firmware .img file (aml_upgrade_package0429.img)
                https://mega.nz/#!JtFRTLAT!XE2m7cmuW...3Dpj6OTMFvBK3c
                Sourced from http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...878#post573878

                Launch USB Burning tool 2.0.7
-Select the second drop down menu and select English
-Plug one end of the USB cable into your computer
-(Do not use the power cable for the box, It can boot and run off of just the USB cable) Use the toothpick method to press the reset button inside of the AV hole in the back and plug the other end of the USB cable into USB-4 on the MXQ box (This is the only port that allowed USB Burning Tool to recognize my box) It only took a couple seconds for USB Burning tool to recognize my box. You can then release the reset button.
-Select the File drop down menu and select "Import Image"
                -Select "aml_upgrade_package0429.img"
-Click the "Start" button (I did not change any settings, the erase flash/normal erase and erase bootloader check boxes were already selected)
-After 5-6 seconds the timer stopped and I received an error message stating something about the bootloader (sorry I forget exactly what it said) Do NOT hit "STOP" or anything else!
-Unplug the MXQ box and Plug it back in while holding the reset button with a toothpick again. At this point the USB Burning Tool should automatically restart the install sequence and complete it without any errors. It took about three and a half minutes with my computer. When it was done I simply unplugged it from the computer and hooked it up to my TV.

I have the box hooked back up to my TV in what appears to be full working order.

I successfully flashed TWRP to my MXQ Pro +.

First I rooted my device with this method.
                      Source: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ll-s95-devices

                      Download .zip file.
                      https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9B...ew?usp=sharing

Unzip and place all three files on a SDcard
                      ezroot.zip
                      recovery.img
                      factory_update_param.aml

Insert SDcard into MXQ box with it powered off. Power on device with flash drive in place.

Go to "My Apps" and run "Update & Backup".

Click on "Local Update" and click on "Select". It should find ezroot.zip on your SDcard.

                      Select eztoot.zip and update.

The box will reboot and will be fully rooted!

Play store on our boxes does not allow you to install alot of apps because it says they are not compatible with the device. To solve this I downloaded the Aptoide .apk, copied it to a sd card, and manually installed the app using App Installer. Aptoide bypasses the Play Store and allows you to install any app regardless of it's designated compatibility with your device.
                      Download: http://pool.apk.aptoide.com/1/AptoideTV-2.1.1.apk
                      Sourced from: http://m.aptoide.com/installer-aptoide-tv

I then used Aptoide to install Rashr - Flast Tool.
                      Rasher on Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....recoverytools

                      Download the TWRP .img (TWRP3_VegaS95_Meta.img)
                      Download: http://www.freak-tab.de/abdul_pt/aml...gaS95_Meta.img
                      Alternate Download: https://mega.nz/#!x5N3TTpD!jzcV-_x1Z...YwJ7G0qkIlsNIU
                      Source: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...mlogic-devices

Copy the .img file to a USB or SDcard and insert the card into your MXQ box.

                      Open the Rashr app

Using the mouse function on my remote I selected "Recovery from storage"

Select the top option "/storage/emulated/" to move up a directory

Select the top option "/storage/" to move up a directory

Select one of the "udisk" or "sdcard" options depending on which media type you used and which slot it is in. ("sdcard1" was my SDcard slot)

Select "TWRP3_VegaS95_Meta.img". A prompt will appear asking you to confirm, click yes.

Reboot into recovery mode to find a functional TWRP.
***Note*** TRWP does not seem to recognize USB drives or SDcards
***Update*** I was messing around and had to reflash the box, I used the aml_upgrade_package0429.img. This time TWRP did recognize the SD card right away

The recovery button inside the AV port still does not work to boot into recovery so I installed Recovery Reboot to have a easy way to reboot into recovery mode.

After using toothpick burning tool announce connected but after a minute it disconnected <= no more burning tool. How do we solve it?!? Anyone have the original recovery.img, can we re flash this one for working burning tool again?!?

Just copying this here as it seems related.
Don't bother trying to upgrade if your box is working. This was posted by floppymaster:

I just installed it, but it is a big disappointment.

First the installation process using the USB Burner Tool: You need a male USB to male USB cable. I experienced a lot of difficulties applying the patch. Luckily http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-16gb-recovery was quite accurate in describing how to flash. Make sure you have 2.0.7, it did not work with an earlier version for me. I needed to reconnect the device 3 times during the flash procedure due to errors which was very troubling, but in the end I had a 100% flash.

I had my hopes up but alas:
                          - Error messages about app crashes appearing when starting
                          - Still no top or bottom toolbars!!
                          - Very awkward default user interface.
                          - Google Play crashes when trying to search for something (while typeing the query).
                          - I can access my previously installed apps (from other devices) through Google play without it crashing, but when I try to install the ones of interest, I receive an error message stating that the application is not compatible, e.g. Netflix.
                          - There was no sound in Kodi or in Chrome. The only sound I heard was half of a notification sound for a new mail coming in. When opening the mail app I receive a warning message that Google Play services are not compatible with the device.

I wonder what issues have been addressed with this rom exactly... It is still unusable as far as I'm concerned.
