    Beelink motherboards

    Can anyone "educate me"?

I read the CNX Software review of the Beelink MINI MX sometime back.

CPU-Z said the Mini MX had a p200 motherboard

My M18 has a p200_2G motherboard - the Qbox S905 (reviewed here on Freaktab) also uses the p200_2g motherboard.

    Kernel same on both 3.14.29

What is the difference between a p200 & p200_2G motherboard?

Can one assume if a piece of software / firmware will run on the Mini MX it will also run on the M18?

How common is the p200 "range" of motherboards?

For instance - the Zoomtak T8V runs an S905 - would this have a p200 motherboard?

Apologies if this is a dumb question?

    Thanks

p200 and p200_2G do not necessarily map uniquely to motherboard. I guess it is more complex than that. Also, same motherboard can hold different chip sets.
    I have MiniMX-G (2GB/16GB) with p200_2G in build.prop ...
As for interchanging firmware, then the motherboard and chip sets are relevant in that some things may and other may not work (like: different wifi or bluetooth chip may or my not be supported).
In fact, if the device tree is not correct, firmware may not boot at all.
But, some firmware (like OpenELEC) runs on both p200 / p200_G MiniMX / MiniMX-G variants. That's perhaps a matter of providing necessary kernel modules for the various chip set variants.
