    Hi Clint204,

Unfortunately, I don't have reset button in AV hole.
But you give me a inspiration, thank you.

I reboot into TWRP mode --> screen shows up via HDMI !!
then I choose reboot to system --> NO screen shows up via HDMI ...

I wonder if it's due to different frequency of TV system?

    I found out TV frequency:
    50HZ for Russian
    60HZ for Taiwan

Maybe my TV won't support frequency of 50HZ, so the tragedy... ( i would check to TV manufacturer later)

Is there a app to force HDMI output 60hz frequency?
    - I tried some app from google play but in vain
    - I tried to set HDMI option to 60HZ but it seems to jump to original setting after unplug HDMI.

I deal with MXQ PRO+ for 3 days and I'm really tired
I would take few days off then back on it

    thanks to everyone's help.

    Hope this helps

I figure it out, it's not frequency issue, it's the HDMI resolution problem.
And I solved it, thanks for help.

BTW if you don't reset button in AV holes, you can short 2 pins as me as below picture.

        Hi,
My TWRP Restore function doesn't see the TWRP folder containing the 1969-12-31--19-00-55_p200_2G-201604140414 ROM. I have not wipe the current ROM yet as I wanted to know if everything is good with the new one. Could this be the problem? Will the system see it after i wipe the old ROM?

I got it to see the files (i modified the path initially). But after it flashed successfully the tv has no signal on HDMI port 1. I tried turning them on and off. The light is blue on the box. Did I brick it?

I just saw the posts literally above me with the same problem. I will try the solution later.

I tried the solution above to short the 2 pins but it doesn't work. It doesn't reset I think, there is still no signal. The box works on an older TV on 720p resolution. What more can i do?

Please can someone help. Everyone here seems to be in the know so thought I'd ask. When I plug my new ott mxq pro box into the tv every few minutes the screen goes pink. It corrects itself but reoccurs. Tried changing ports and cables no joy. My hudl2 plugs into tv fine, no display or playback issues and both are running lollipop. I've updated the tv firmware and am trying desperately to update the box firmware but the toothpick method does not work. If updated previous boxes so know the procedure, the av button presses but it just boots back to home.
Firstly is pink picture correctable if so any ideas
Second any tips on getting into recovery mode as I've downloaded the firmware update and almologic tool.

Many thanks for your time and replies, I will really appreciate it, I'm going nuts

Where and how do I find this....

Once rooted you need to flash correct TWRP -mega:///#!x5N3TTpD!jzcV%20_x1Z...YwJ7G0qkIlsNIU. The file is named TWRP3_VegaS95_Meta.img.

This is how you flash TWRP (thanks to speedy611):
                • Copy the correct TWRP .img file (TWRP3_VegaS95_Meta.img) to a USB or SDcard and insert the card/USB into your MXQ box. For USB use port 4.

It flashed and rebooted - then I got to the page where it asked if I want it to be read only or for more options (swipe) so I swiped because I don't want it to be read only. It never asked permission to write - do I have to install or mount it based on this pic ? I just don't want to make the wrong choice. Thanks for your help.

The guide explains this. You don't want TWRP to be read only. It looks like you have flashed TWRP correctly. From there continue to follow the guide which will take you through the remaining steps for flashing sd-robots. If you didn't give TWRP write permission you won't be able to flash with TWRP.

On the Russian site post 1880 is this - I couldn't find the TWRP. I found one further up just labeled Twrp but it was 1.5GB.

This is where you find the TWRP image: http://www.freak-tab.de/abdul_pt/aml...gaS95_Meta.img. Follow the steps t flash it and make sure you don't set it as read only.

I'm not sure where you are in the steps. I thought you had TWRP flashed, but maybe not. Go back, follow the steps carefully. If you need help be very clear with where you are in the steps.
