T428 or MK908 1080p .mp4

I am debating the purchase of a Tronsmart T428 or MK908. I am however worried about video playback. The main reason I want this device is to play 1080p .mp4/m4v's (and .mkv's if possible) over hdmi with audio. I would like to be able to do this via usb or sd storage and also over wifi on my home network if possible. It would also make for an interesting tinkering tech toy, but I want something useful for this price.

well the video playback thread should tell you enough.. avoid buying. If you want smooth video playback on small budget,, go for $200+ mini pc.
