Tronsmart T428 Only support 65Mbps wifi speed!!!
    It's sucks!!!

They have advertised T428 support 802.11ac.
But they removed spec on their homepage.

They still advertise T428 support 5Ghz on wifi.
    I have expected T428 support 300Mbps(with 80Mhz bandwith) on 5Ghz.
I have bought 5.2G ap. and tested it.

    But T428 only support 65Mbps(with 20Mhz bandwith) on 5Ghz
and only support 65Mbps(with 20Mhz bandwith) on 2.4Ghz.

    Other one(like CR9 rk3188) support 150Mbps(with 40Mhz bandwith) on 2.4Ghz.

    Don't buy T428 until they support 300bps or 150Mbps!!!!!

I don't understand the mindset of these Chinese manufacturers. They have all screwed up the most important part of these devices. Wifi is absolutely vital for these Android sticks to be in any way useful. I've been patiently waiting to replace my UG802 with something that had 5ghz support, and I was hoping that the T428 might be it. I don't think it is too much to ask to get a 150-300mb connection. /rant

Couldn't it be possible that it is just a Kernel/Software limitation? Im not expecting full AC speeds due to only having 1 antenna. It does have the hardware for it. I too have an AC router and am only getting 65Mbps on 5Ghz. My phone (Galaxy Note II) on 5GHz will at least get 72Mbps. I have my 5GHz on my router set at only 80Mhz band.

Hoping this can be fixed now that we have the kernel sources.

        Very sad indeed!

If you check out at all hardware flaw, the pictures is worst. I also have a AC router at only 65Mbps, but we can't have decent video anyway so who need 150 or 300Mbps if you can't use it. Great news they have 1080p firmware, who need it since 720p are not viewable. Those rk3188 are like a Ferrari with wolks beetle 1944 motor configuration, the worst buy I did in android product, even my superpad VI play movies far better.

I'll agree with the speeds as well with having a AC router. Between the video issues and wifi this device needs to have some attention given to it. I'm sure though it will take time to fix things as it goes as this all is new to market for CPU and wifi chipset.

Would you buy a tv not viewable because it specs and wait to have and upgrade to be able to use it?

seeing how I didnt pay for the t428 sure I don't mind at all. There's a reason why even the most expensive super cars have service centers. It's because nothing is perfect in this world.

If anything I think some people are bitter on here but yet offer nothing on the table but to B*tch and moan

Bitch and moan? I think when anyone spends 100 dollars on a device and it does not do what its intended for and or promoted by the seller they have every right to bitch. This is called screwing over the consumer and false advertisement. Jelly bean 4.2 means it should do everything another device does with that operating system if the hardware is included.

I have a 200 dollar nexus 7 that has the same version of Android with a screen, more memory, quad core tegra processor and just 100 dollars more which is the price of the screen about. So to think people defending the cost for what you get is obsurd and they do not understand the component prices.

This device should do everything it was intended for and the excuses are lame and thick.
Seeing 9 customers give it 5 stars on geekbuying site knowing it has many issues says to me they are being suave and deceptive. this is not a 5 star device that does not even work correctly .

And the trolls come out. Like I said, if you have nothing to bring to the table that can help change what we know is already a issue then keep your whiney comments to yourself.

its easy to call others "trolls" when you "didnt pay for the t428", for somebody that got everything for free its really easy indeed to be always cool.
lets wait when daddy dearest stop sending you the cool toys and you have actually to work to get them, the song will change.

Troll , being a consumer and buying one I feel douped.. I see your style, the ones who brag dont have shit.

Why is it not clearly listed on all these things that are wrong with it?
Why instead we have 9 people giving it the highest praises and that makes another feel that much more safe on this product that is seriously flawed.

lmao. I see what the poster before this means...and his comment is a stereotypical response from a ignorant being.

Can we quit the pointless bickering, cause its really going nowhere. Can we try and find a solution to the problem? Like I said, I think its a combo of hardware and software, but I think a big chunk could be improved with software. I'm hoping the experimental firmware thread will end up getting somewhere with it. I know Bob has is trying or has just got his PC back up, so it will be nice to have him chugging away again too.

I haven't had too much time lately to mess with my T428, but I'm willing to use mine as a guinea pig to try and better the WiFi issues.

I've sent mail to tronsmart and geekbuying about this problem.
                          Geekbuying replied strange answer today.
I hope tronsmart have right answer for this.

                            802.11AC speed

Some says since there only one antenna we can't expect more. But according to wiki the max theoric speed could reach 433Mbps with one antenna.

Thats what I was thinking, not full 802.11ac speeds, but should be getting some good speeds at least.
